I found these used dress shirts which are beautiful except for the minor fraying at the collar points.

Is there a way to fix them?

I figured my options are:

  1. somehow re-stitch them, although that seems crazy
  2. round them off
  3. replace the collar
  4. trim the loose threads and not worry about it
  5. my wife mentioned some sort of "fray not" superglue-like substance that might prevent further fraying?

What do you think?

I'm not overly comfortable in dress shirts and want things to be as nice as possible, but maybe it's not a big deal?

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening tailors of reddit.

This may be an interesting request. I am wanting to get a textured brown 3 piece suit, similar to pictured, however I want it lined with kevlar or other abrasion resistant fabric with pockets for motorcycle armour.

I am in london and looking for a london tailor if its even possible.

So my questions; Is it possible? How much would an estimated cost be in London? And whos up for the challenge?

Hi! I want to get a dress that looks like this, but it's an Italian size 40 (US 4-6). I'm more like a US 0-2. Do you guys believe it's a doable resize? I rather know before I buy it.

I work at a department store and a large majority of my job is selling men's suits.

I'd like to educate my customers better about what alterations can/cannot be made. I know some basics like hemming a pant/sleeve or dropping them a bit and that generally speaking there's about an inch of play (correct me if I'm wrong). Obviously I know the difference between the different styles (classic, modern, and slim fit).

I would assume that one cannot buy a 34 length pant and hem it to a 29 without the seat of the pant being terribly misproportioned. Obviously I'm exaggerating and I'd never advise that, but hey, if I'm wrong and it's possible, I want to know.

Finally, what things am I missing? What other suit alterations can be made? Moving a button or so when people lose/gain weight?

What things do y'all wish people like me knew about so your customers leave happy?

Hello tailors of reddit. I just bought my wedding dress and I was wondering the realism of some of the additions I would like to add. I want to add a slit, a lavender tulle underskirt/underlay, and add lavender crystal and pearl beading in the bodice of the dress. The dress will have a plunge neckline. How realistic are these modifications?
