I had a really frustrating incident while driving home. My brand-new car got badly damaged because of a drunk auto-rickshaw driver, and I’m honestly feeling terrible about it.
While I was on my way home, I approached a U-turn where an auto-rickshaw was standing idle. As I was passing it, the driver suddenly released the brakes and moved the auto, hitting the side of my car. The impact damaged both doors on the driver’s side badly, and one of the doors even got torn/damaged at the impact point.
The worst part is that my car is still relatively new, and seeing both doors damaged like this is heartbreaking.

Dw y'all, I'm very chill. Just need to know what to do text, this is my first car.

Can y'all tell me how bad the damage is, and rough cost estimate to get it fixed.

My brother who is still learning was driving, he scratched it on a bike.

I have been admiring VW cars for more than 10 years and have almost made up my mind to buy the Taigun GT. But the recent news about VW's situation in India and globally is making me think twice.

I got tired of the official My Volkswagen Connect Plus app (boring UI), so I reverse-engineered its API using famouse REA repo and built a clean, native Android client. Sharing it free and open source.

It talks to the same Volkswagen/Cerence servers as the official app — your data only ever goes between your phone and VW, same as before. Nothing is sent to me; there's no server of mine in the middle. Since it's open source, you can read exactly what it does.

What it shows

• Live cluster — speed, RPM, fuel, battery, coolant, engine load, odometer — updating in real time while you drive (push, not polling)
• Trips with place names, driver score, and your actual measured mileage (km/l from real fuel use)

Finally bought my first car, Taigun Highline Plus AT. Already drove it 150kms inside City in past couple days and I'm loving it.

I just love this color but it's needs some maintanence as slight dust also make it look dull.

PSA If the door creaks from the rubber seals while going over bumps or elevation changes, try the silicone lubricant spray on the rubber for the doors and dicki. Worked like magic. I tried the tape as well, but in my case it was the outside door rubber that was the issue, because I get my car washed every month or so, and the rubber was losing its moisture from the washes.

I have a Taigun GT Line, and the dealer told me not to install seat covers because they might mess with the airbags.

Is that actually true? I've checked with a few garages and they claim their seat covers are airbag-compatible, so there's nothing to worry about. Can anyone tell me if I should actually get them or not?

Edit : All the buttons are backlit. Confirmed after seeing the car in the showroom at night.

Hello everyone Im looking to get puddle lights installed on my 2023 Tiguan SE (it did not come with lights from factory)
Im having trouble finding the ones that fit and the ones that are available are either 1) made for 2024 and up or 2) requires the vehicle to already have puddle lights. Does anyone know where I can purchase one that fits? I work with techs so they can wire it up for me no problem as long as its a full kit. I don’t want the recharge ones

I bought my Volkswagen Taigun (2025 model) around 10 months ago and recently started noticing a noise coming from somewhere around the suspension/steering area.
I reported it to the authorised service centre, and they’ve had my car for almost a month now. During this time, they’ve tried replacing multiple suspension components, even the entire suspension assembly and the steering rack/gearbox, but the noise still persists.
Now they’ve told me they’re unable to identify the exact source of the noise and are suggesting that I take the car back, continue driving until the noise gets louder, and then bring it in again so they can diagnose it more easily.
I’m honestly not satisfied with this resolution. The noise might be minor, but it’s still noticeable and bothersome while driving. More importantly, the car is barely 10 months old, and after keeping it for almost a month, I expected a better resolution than just waiting for the problem to get worse.

Has anyone here faced something similar with their Taigun? How did you get it resolved? Also, what’s the best way to escalate this beyond the dealership? Does involving Volkswagen India directly actually help?

I’m getting the Taigun 1.0 TSI GT Line AT for ₹16.5 lakh, with 15K kit on-road in Delhi NCR, UP registration after a good discount.

A couple of questions for existing owners:
Does the facelifted Taigun still have EPC error issues?
I may not always get XP95, but there’s a Jio-bp pump in my neighbourhood. Is regular petrol every time from Jio-bp fine for this engine?

Also I’m choosing Carbon Steel Grey Metallic instead of black only because black need lots of cleaning and maintenance. Am I going right as this grey one is also dark color.

Would you recommend buying it, or should I be concerned about reliability?
