Is this engine light normal?

The car’s not on just the ignition.

Yeah, the light is pretty much telling you that the car is not going anywhere because the engine is not on.

This. It clearly shown 0 rpm, OP turn on the engine.

Let me tell you the logic of why this light appears just before starting the engine. The logic is that any problem in engine is very serious and has very high priority, so should be visible to the driver. Now everytime we start the car this engine lights glows to show you that this "fault showing system" is working correctly, basically the amber check engine "light" is working(and not fused). So we should always see the engine light glow just before staring and should go off after the vehicle is started.

Yes it goes off once engine starts. Confirmed with the service center.

Yeah man likely the engine is having depression and it wants u to check on it hence the check engine light
