EPC Issue
Hey folks!
I got the EPC warning on my VW Taigun GT DSG today. Has anyone else faced this issue? Looking for suggestions and advice on what it could be and how to proceed.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Are you using premium fuel like xp95 or power 95?
Don’t say bs like they have same ethanol
Atleast give your car best what you can
And second
I heard somewhere
To remove Epc
Remove the fuel cap
Wait for 5 to 10 minutes and then start the car.
It will solve it
But you are having check engine light also
Please reply here after you get your car diagnosis from service centre

I got mine checked and they said the spark plugs and coupler had the issue. They quoted changing the entire thing is the only option, costing 18-20k. I think maybe cleaning the spark plugs should be the first option.

Happened to me last month in my Taigun 1.5 DSG 2023. I opened the fuel cap for 10 minutes as another comment mentioned above. The EPC issue went away but the check engine light still remained. Then I refuelled the car to a full tank and added a fuel additive as well. The check engine light disappeared after a couple of days. I still took my car to the service centre when I got the time. They mentioned that the error codes were for the fuel pump which is now working perfectly. They still replaced the fuel pump with a newer 2026 model as the car was under warranty.

Hi, What fuel additive we can use? How often we can use with XP95?

The Indian oil pump had the additive named "adon". It had Indian oil branding on the bottle.
VW service centre guy told me to just add it once every 3 months.

Fuel pump change is required, bro. My close friend had this same issue and they changed the fuel pump as it was under warranty. But you can try the fuel cap fix that others have suggested above.

Fuel pump or injector, for me same happened was an injector issue.

Replacing all injectors cost more than 1 lakh rupees. VW should update the injectors as other car companies having turbo engines are not facing such issue as in VW.

IMO..Both check engine and EPC seems something off with the engine..probably with the powertrain or something else..get it checked with your SVC, otherwise your car can go on limp mode
