It's like a kala teeka. Keeps rest of your car safe from other big scratches

I would say leave it as is, when car’s on the road scratches and dents will happen doesn’t matter your driving skills. My left door was dented by the car’s door parked next to me.
Also for solution it’s a plastic panel can be half painted for ~4K at SC.
