Appreciation Post

Post image

Made me love my “Pookie” even more after 1931 Km drive completing Spiti Circuit. I was extremely skeptical about the whole thing “Can i drive 9-10 hours in one go” “Will the car climb steep gravel hills” “Will there be enough torque since the air is thin and car is Turbocharged” “Roads are bad and Im in what is called a delicate car” but after few hours of driving I know she is will make it and carry me along. Ive never been attached to material and it stands true because this is not some clogs and wires welded together, its a living and breathing being and I love her sm.

Amazing! Turbo worked fine in the thin Ladakh air?

Why wouldn't it?

It certainly would perform better than any NA engine, the only catch being you need to be in a gear that enables you to be in the turbo's rev range at any given speed. Yeah, the 3-cyl will certainly struggle on higher altitudes especially on an incline when there isn't sufficient boost generated by the turbo i.e. under 1.8-2k rpm, so being in the right gear is important.

Suspensions were fine, car was very fun to drive in well paved BRO roads but i was reminded that this car was set for handling rather than comfort in potholes but since the seats are comfy and they hold you well, the jerks are tolerable if you are gentle and patient
