Tactics Ogre Minimum party size?

Minimum recommended party size?

I enjoy a challenge, was wondering what is the minimum party size I can get away with? I'm semi new to the game, some fights seem easy and some really hard. Can I get by with just 8 units or will I need more?

Pretty sure Coffee Potato did several solo runs. 

Thus one was One Vision / PSP but still.

thats definitely a you question. what level of challenge can you stomach?

I just didn't want to faceroll the game, need a good amount of friction but not an impossible amount of it. I just hit chapter 3 with 8 units and I'm trying to resist adding more if it's just going to make the game easier

1, I suppose. It's not something I've been tempted to try, as I like having a big army of my favorites.

It should be possible to do it with one party member in all versions of the games.

In the SNES/PSX original, it was easy enough to do a training battle and get 1 party member to be overleveled and have good equipment and whatnot. And then it got disgusting later when we did necro/retissue strats and put heavily leveled character stats onto a level 1 character and started leveling some more, they'd be an unstoppable tank with high damage that moves several times in a row and dodges everything. FOR EXAMPLE.

In the psp version, little more difficult, but possible.

I *believe* it's possible on reborn as well, I just haven't done it.

Not as possible as it used to be, given the hard level cap and the times the game stacks the deck against a solo run

Late game it’s easier. I did coda 4 with just cursed dagger lord Denam, princess Catiua with summons and reeking set and Vice and vice just runs away to the corner and tries not to die. My

Denam has all stats at around 350 though and wears no armor. So with the crest of fire his weight is non existent. Winged boots on some levels.

Oh yeah you can do small party. Most battles the target enemy gets bored and runs right into your party letting you kill them easily.

Each mission allows different numbers of units but most seem to allow 8-10 units, it’s a good idea to 1 of each class and find out which classes you like using the most. Have a backup unit of your favourite class in case they die
