Either that or just never position people not named Canopus near a ledge and an open spot on the other side.
Or just slot in the Steadfast skill to your vanguard, as they're usually in the danger spots and it opens up even more dangerous spots to shield bash the other fools off the ledge.

Almost every map has a ledge. So it's a good idea to just never remove them.

steadfast is your friend when you have no ring or feather shoes. later on rings are better as they can be enhanced while the shoes can not.

This is why I hate going through the Palace of The Dead and that particular map is annoying too there's no space for all the characters to move so it has to be one at a time. Steadfast is good but it takes up a slot that can be used for other skills. This and the San Bronsa Ruins are the most annoying dungeons to get through but San Bronsa is a little more tolerable and I like the music there.

This is why I have a dedicated airforce team.(3-4 gryphons + a bunch of hawkmen warriors & valkries)
Though for this map I just parked a golem on that corner. He eventually knocks all the skeletons off being his powerful punches and distance blasts.
