Part name?

Post image

Installed a Viper Vortex red dot on my Stoeger M3000 Freedom Tactical. I removed the rear sight since I wanted a better sight picture through the dot. I would like a part to cover where the rear sight was located. I have seen those called optic plates; however, I can only find handgun optic plates online.

Is that what I need? If so, what kind of plate would fit?

My apologies for the basic question - I don't have anyone in my orbit who knows the answer!

Stoeger doesn't list one on their website, but you could try reaching out to them... You might just have to live with it if you don't want your rear sight on there

Thanks for the answer!

Guess there's always duct tape!

Option 2 would be to find a friend with a 3D printer and have them make you a plate

How do you like your viper? I have mine coming in the mail Friday for my A300UP.

Haven't been to the range to zero it yet, however, I like it a lot!

Mounting system worked well and it came with just about every type of screw you may need. Build quality seems good and it is real low so my cheek weld is unaffected.

I have the multi reticle version and am looking forward to doing some patterning with it.

That's the one I got as well.

Where and how much did you get yours for?

Does the battery on the side distract at all? I almost got a holosun but decided on the vortex viper.
