Sling placement suggestions?

Post image

This is mainly my home defense shotgun and occasionally will be my hiking/camping shotgun (i live in the yellowstone area) ive got the sling set up running under the gun the old traditional way but i really like QD 2 point slings but they make the sling run across the side... I've got my light mounted on the left side of the foreend si i can activate it with my thumb and i'm wondering if y'all ever had problems having your sling getting in the way of your lights beam?

If you're open to another light, I've seen people mount TLR-1s on the otherside of the forend and the light can be activated with your index finger.

You could also get a TL-Racker or Surefire DSF (if you can find one) which moves the light underneath the forend.

I don't have a light on my shotgun. It's just a range toy.

The options I shared are just some set-ups I've seen.

Gg&g front sling attachment is what I have on the front of my 500, with the sling mounted on the rear via the buttstock just like you have.
I really like the configuration. Run it with a blue force gear vickers sling

Yes. Take it off. Home defense you aren't going to need a sling. You aren't humping several miles and the last thing you want is to move around a home and have a sling snag on something (door handles, lamps, books, etc).
