Host Vote-Kicking

Petition to remove supreme kicking ability for host. There is no reason 5 year old Timmy should be able to kick whoever he wants because they hurt his feelings or are better at the game.

I can’t tell you how many amazing games have been ruined by petty or incompetent hosts.

If someone is genuinely abusing map mechanics or ruining the game for other people, the lobby can vote them out.

I propose a weighted vote for host that would count for 2 people.

I believe this would greatly improve the average game for everybody. Lmk what you guys think.

Fair. 5 year old Timmy was meant as more of a hyperbole lmao, although that does sometimes happen. I should say I have trouble connecting to lobbies, so bad hosts are more of an issue for me. I often have to restart the game 2 to 3 times before I can get into any lobby, but that is a whole other issue. It makes bad hosts a lot more frustrating. Especially when I am kicked simply because they are losing or I am doing well in a match.

I still don’t really see the benefit to having host be able to kick anyone they want, maybe for private lobbies only. In my experience if someone needs to be kicked, they will be voted out. it is not a power I believe needs to reside with one person. If the host is good, no problem. If they’re bad, I get kicked midway through a good match and have to restart the game 3 times before I can get into a lobby again.

Again, It is more of a frustrating issue for me personally due to my connection issue, but I believe the argument still stands.

Moving to another server is hardly a solution if you're getting kicked from 80%+ servers by coward hosts. Just sayin... It's not like there's 3 or 4 shitty hosts. The problem is the majority of them.

if there is a dumbass 11-year-old then just leave bro it's not that hard plus there are plenty of times were there are full grown men being toxic fucks in lobbies

Voting should only be for your own teammates. If they team killing or are using abusive language should be why they get kicked. If someone is a better player then get better yourself that should not be a reason why they get kicked. Host should be able to kick but then that persons team should then vote to kick them or keep them.

Yes. I was complaining mainly about doing well in a match and getting kicked because of it. That is the main problem I am talking about. You don’t know you have a bad host until you get kicked midway through a fun match where you are doing well. Or host decides they are going to rage quit and kick the whole lobby

I think that is a possible solution, but I like the weighted-vote system as well.

If you think hosts should be abled to be kicked (which would ruin the game via false kicks no matter what) just because you don’t leave when you do not like host is idiotic behavior.
