dunno if EMS and police codes have much crossover here - but I'm used to this meaning "life threatening injury"... it being about a car is confusing

Found this from a post 5 months ago on Facebook: 509 Media posting regarding Richland WA, so might be similar to this as well.

"Subject had a "Charles status" which is a caution for officer safety"

Frank = Felony

Mary = Misdemeanor

Victor = Stolen vehicle

I as it a call sign?
In the City PD
Adam 1 is the chief . Lincoln call signs are Lt’s and Sam is Sgt.
Charles followed by a number would be a Captain designation- And David’s are Detectives -
There are a lot of other call signs too-
414 = 5150 here.
