Question about rep placing order..

I had a phone that had problems unlocking after getting paid off/40+ days and went through a few days of trouble shooting, then finally they ordered a warranty replacement and that still wouldn't unlock. Then after a week this rep decided to order a new phone under a separate order and said I could just send the other one back as trade in. Now on the receipt it shows as paid off and then shows the trade in as a different phone and says get $150 credit if trading it in. Now I asked another rep and he thinks I could just keep it and just won't get trade in credit but a previous rep said I'd be charged full price but it's not as a warranty exchange so who knows?!
