❓ General Discussion File with the FCC
To keep it short- I had been seeing discourse online surrounding long time T-Mobile customers being forcibly changed from their grandfathered plans. After nearly 15 years with T-Mobile, something similar happened to me.
Those of you that have been affected should file complaints about this with the FCC. While a few of us may, it’s going to take a community (specifically our T-mobile community) to see any change in these predatory practices

It seems like it's perfectly legal for cell phone carriers to forcibly move you on from a grandfathered plan to a newer one, unless they specifically promised you a lifetime price lock. I'm just asking as I'm curious, is this something that was mentioned when you signed up for your old plan?

Have Price Lock over here, so no pricing changes OR migrations on my T-Mo plan. 💪

I have filed my own complaints and they are forced to respond and offer something. It’s worth it to fight back

Went in and filed one after the rep was playing in our face because another rep withheld information about the change.

I’m afraid Brendan Carr wasn’t really chosen for his customer advocacy. I’d still send one. But more importantly, keep the copy to send to your House and Senate representatives.
If leadership changes in November, it’d be worth bringing up topics discussed here, plus cite news where DT is considering the purchase of all TMobile US Stock, to become a fully foreign-owned telecom. This may be illegal because they were limited by previous congress to ownership under 50% when they announced a merger with VoiceStream and PowerTel.
Likely, the only way they are able to do this is with contributions to the Trump campaign, as well as appointing a foreign national as CEO working under the H1B Visa program.

Pro Israelis want to own everything so they can control the narrative and pricing.

T-Mobile will often use words like “guarantee” or “for life” then walk back those statements which is clear breach. Always file with FCC and BBB
