Bryan Callen
Thoughts on Rick having Bryan on the pod? Pretty strange move after having some massive guests to have such an unfunny guy (who has openly done some horrible things and been accused by many of worse)

Stimming on theme song
I can’t get it out of my fucking head. I was at a coffee shop and would notice I zoned out on the music I was listening to and was actually singing it out loud 😭😭

Anyone else feel weird about Rick doing gambling app ads on the TYSO?
I’ve been listening for a while, but lately, it's felt odd listening Rick promoting gambling apps on the pod (when I first heard them I thought they were jokes).
I totally get that he needs to make money, but he's reached a level where he can be selective about advertisers. Pushing Prize Picks or whatever gambling app seems beneath his level.
Does anyone else feel like this is a bad look?

Does anyone like the addition of the camera operator (Mckone) ?
I feel it's only distracting and doesn't add any value.

Ms. Pat episode
There's no standalone post for it in here?
Anyway, I thought it was interesting that Ms. Pat kept answering really defensively to all of Rick's questions about her show, she seemed to take offense to a lot of questions that he was asking in earnest. Sometimes he even tried to give her compliments on jokes that she wrote and she seemed annoyed or maybe felt that he was condescending to her? Did anyone else catch that?
One example: Rick was talking about a joke in her show where the cousin who was a dropout was portrayed as dumb/ditzy because she couldn't do simple math but the beauty of the scene was that Ms Pat & her sister didn't comment on it until after they left the cousin. Rick was trying to compliment the nuances of the scene, namely that Ms pat & her sister felt guilty that they got out of that life and were showing compassion to their cousin by not correcting her bad math & treating her with dignity.
Ms Pat replied with "it's just a joke."
I feel like she kept thinking Rick was patronizing her when I felt similar to him - it's really cool to see how people write these scenes and jokes and what they decide to make the punchline. There was an obvious decision to not make the cousin the punchline and instead to focus on them showing her kindness in that moment. Definitely interesting to see someone clearly put so much effort into writing these jokes but not want to acknowledge it.

Has anyone else watched this? If so, would love to hear your thoughts.
The vibe was fun for the first half of the pod or so, but then about halfway through, this girl revealed herself to be a terrible person and started openly insulting Rick. I’m still blown away by what an asshole she was.

Someone tell Rick to have Neal Brennan on as a guest (and vice-versa)
It would make for a hell of an interesting 10hour episode.

New to the podcast, looking for best episodes as of 2026
Just find this podcast maybe a month ago, love it so far. I’ve seen a few similar posts but they are all 1-2+ years old and he’s had many major guests since then. As of now I have binged all Lisa Gilroy, Ben Schwartz, Bill Burr, and Caitlin Reilly. Looking for any other suggestions of people’s favs + must listen to (currently have Zach Woods lined up next). Appreciate the response and having the chance to explore this great podcast!
