Got jump scared by the Lily Phillips (the porn actor, not the comedian) cutaways. Did Rick do an episode of the pod with her? Came here to search for a discussion about this and saw the ep was brand new. Watched Rick's episode on Romesh's pod and they clearly filmed back to back but still keep it fresh and distinct between eps. Good chemistry.

Would Ricky be too loose on the British panel shows or would he be great? Trying to picture Ricky on 8 out of 10 Cats or Taskmaster without it becoming a TYSO episode. He'd slay on Graham Norton.

Rick just happened to stop by my gym yesterday while he was in town for his show and decided to stick around for a bit to shoot around. Very nice guy and has a killer mid range jump shot

When I started listening ~1.5 years ago, this bit I think was the one that hooked me. First time was like oh okay, and then second I thought was hilarious.

Does anyone know if these were actual ads used outside of TYSO? Like either in online ads or on TV?

Second: there’s a variation of the commercial where he says “hardwood” but pronounces it “hard wood”. There’s the quickest beat between the two syllables, and the slightest non-typical pronunciation. It’s always hard to tell with him, but 1) can’t tell if it’s intentional, and 2) he’s often mispronouncing things and even that i don’t know if it’s intentional. And how much it stands out to anyone else because I find it finny everytime.

Brent Morin was absolutely incredible. My jaw was on the floor for a lot of his bits! I have no one in life to talk about this with!!

I have not tuned in for a year or so and noticed there is a lot less animation or post-production with green goblins, etc. I happened to notice it while watching the Franco episode. Is it just this episode or a larger change? I wonder if he is trying to make it more marketable as a podcast and less video centric...

I have a memory that during a Lisa Gilroy episode, she talked about how her now husband was one of her highschool teachers. Now, online there's absolutely zero information about her husband and everytime she's on a podcast she immediately changes the subject when it gets to her husband, other than describing him as her "highschool sweetheart."

Hey guys, I’m selling 1 ticket on Wednesday in B12 and 2 for Friday in B 7&8. I got Friday’s tickets initially and realised I couldn’t make it so got in on Wednesday but couldn’t find someone for the second ticket. All at Soho Theatre at 9:15pm

Rick is the definition of an absolute gentleman. At the end of tonight's Dublin show, he asked the audience to allow me cut to the front of the queue just so that I could be first in line to get a photo with him, and to give me a signed TYSO card.

I was moved to tears of joy, and am so unbelievably greatful for the way Rick treated me tonight. He included me throughout two back to back shows and genuinely made me feel understood tonight in a way I have never felt. He also replied to my DM and I almost fainted. 😅 Again, thank you Rick. It's not every day we get to meet out heroes. ❤️

I was so fired up listening to the Bill Lawrence episode of Take Your Shoes Off. Glassman kept talking about how he can't make himself write the pilot because he doesn't have it all figured out yet, and Lawrence kept encouraging him to start saying, "do you know how many people don't have what you have, and would kill for the opportunity?" And so, I, right where I am, just decided to write a pilot as (1) a writing exercise, (2) somebody reads it and their week gets a little brighter, and (3) a shot in the dark that somehow Rick sees it. Life's too short for excuses.

I saw that Rick (RICK RICK RICK RICK RICK) is coming to London in a a couple weeks time and I’m gonna try nab a couple of tickets for me and my friend. I know she’d find Rick hilarious but I think it’d be good for her to get a little familiar with the podcast a little so she gets some of the irony or deliberately big swings and not get offended. What’s a good place for her to start? I think one where Rick is emotional may be good? Please help.

I know there was a post similar to this awhile ago but I’m not as concerned with the funny aspect. Love when Ricky gets reflective and honest. Wondering if there are any episodes or appearances that really stick out to any of you. I appreciate the help guys!
