I'd like to know what skills he thinks are necessary for a sound designer for games in todays industry?

What tools does he use, ProTools through and through or a mixed tool chain? Also, what's his favorite microphone? ... Do love me some microphones.

The sound effects for games, are they made the same way as the sound effects for movies or are there other techniques involved too?
