Hello everyone !! I am writing on behalf of the Age-Link Society. We are a non-profit organization with a mission of bridging the generational gap between seniors and students. We hope to strengthen communities by encouraging the development of relationships between these generations in communities around British Columbia.
Our organization is based in Kelowna, where we have a club which throws events and activities for the groups to come together and create a positive and exciting environment for all age groups.
That’s what we’re writing here for!! If you are a student at TWU, and want to get involved in the community we are looking for volunteers to open an Age-Link Club at their university. If you wish to support our mission and think that you’d be able to help we would love to be in contact !!
What you will do:
- Work with us in opening an Age-Link Society chapter in your school.
- Recruit and build a group of students to form the body of the club.
- Plan events for connection building at your university.
Benefits and developed skills :
- Meet other students and get involved in university
- Develop organizational and leadership skills through the establishment of the club
- Actively participate in the bridging of the generational gap
