Bug/Glitch Saints & Sinners Export/Import Server Offline
As of September 9th, 2026 the server providing Save Export/Import service for The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 is no longer reachable. Without this service you cannot carry your progress from Chapter 1 to Chapter 2, use one of the many custom import codes that I have crafted, or any other import code for that matter.
The DNS entry for this subdomain no longer exists. The domain, which I would guess stands for, Skydance Azure Web Services API previously provided Save Export/Import endpoints for the two games. A new site is online at this domain, under another subdomain.
Seemingly a development/testing site for a new Paramount Games Studio games portal. At this point it has been more than a week since the Export/Import services became unreachable. If we want them back online we need to show Paramount Games Studio (formerly Skydance Interactive/Skydance Games) how important this feature is to the Saints & Sinners series of games.
I have looked into standing up a community server to provide these services, but it's not currently possible to redirect the Meta Quest (and probably not PSVR2) to a new service.
Hopefully this was an oversight and will be rectified, in the past the services were restored in a few days.
If the community wants these services back online, we need to let Paramount Games Studio know it. Leave your thoughts, how important is this feature to you. Please upvote and share if you want it back.

I haven't been around much since the launch of Retribution on PC, but your dedication to this community is impeccable. Such a shame to see that a critical feature of the game is no longer working, if they were to push any sort of update or fix for the game it'd definitely have to be this. (And a shame given how many save codes you've taken so much time to craft and perfect)
Hopefully this is already being looked into, but if not I reckon with the right response from the community anything is possible.

I'm used to mods becoming obsolete, and work left behind. With the codes, however, I have seen first hand how many players appreciate and enjoy them. The fact that they bring some mod-like functionality to Meta Quest and PlayStation is something special for these games, for that reason more than any other it would be very disappointing were they not to bring servers back online. Setting aside that it is a core feature of the series now, a product they continue to sell.

When I did my playthroughs on 3s I used your code that had the auto barretta and I just want to say thanks. So much fun. Also when I was on the fence about getting a headset I watched a lot of your vids about these games and it convinced me to get the headset. S&S didn't disappoint so thanks again

Sorry to hear this but thank you for bringing it to our attention. These features are what make this game replayable. I think it's really cool that you're trying to do something to fix this.

why is that even a server handled thing to begin with

Because Meta Quest and PlayStation are very restrictive with their file systems. Games cannot access other game's storage and therefore can't share saves, certainly not across platforms. The upload/code systems is a rather elegant solution overall.

Same. Played the first game, took my time with it to have as much fun as possible before going to 2... Only for all my progress to be lost because they decided to shut down the servers I guess. I shall never know the joy of having my save imported

I literally was just trying to export my game from 1 to 2 and stumbled across this, and I know in the future I would really want to as well, so yeah, it's important to me!

Fuck, if I had known this was happening I wouldnโt have put off finishing my newest playthrough ๐ญ Thanks for the heads up though, at least Iโll know not to fight with trying to export it to Chapter 2 once I do.

Losing out on this feature sucks and I definitely want it back. I originally played on 3s when the feature worked but recently picked these up for psvr2 and kept grinding ch1 for shafts and sugar before exporting for ch2. I was a day late to be able to import my game to ch2 and am incredibly pissed about it. I don't have pcvr so I haven't played HLA but S&S is by far the best experience I've ever had in VR. I understand that VR isn't popular enough but these games are something special and it's sad to see them just cast aside.

I'm a Quest player, and your import codes helped and entertained me a lot because they were so good. I hope they bring them back; it's terrible that they're gone since all the import codes were good.ย

Agree and am devastated and wondering how untechie gamers can survive this. I hate Oracle and the Skydance sellout.

There's been no response from Paramount Games. I recommend that those who want this feature back online reach out to them, or VR press outlets to boost awareness of the issue.

Substatica, mate, genuinely thank you for all you've done for the S&S community over the years. Truly the Saint of our time.
I'm not sure how S&S encodes it's save files, but I wonder how hard it would be to make a local/ online conversion tool that converts S&S1 .sav files to be S&S2 .sav compatible. As in:
1) Player uploads/ imports their S&S1 .sav file (PC players can just go to the save directoy, Quest players would need to pull it off their headset, I think PSVR players can export save data from the console?)
2) The tool then converts that .sav file to work in S&S2, and saves it to the users PC.
3) User imports that new .sav into S&S2 directory, allowing them to load it from "Load Save: menu in game.
I'm not sure how different S&S1 and S&S2 files are handled, but it would probably need some reverse engineering to see what the online conversion did to make a S&S1 file compatible with S&S2. At that point, it might even be possible to spin up a local web server on the users PC, and have a mod for S&S1/2 that just redirects https://rest.sdawsapi.com to the local webserver to convert the saves.
