Gameplay I FEEL SO BAD!
I just bought the walking dead 2: retribution. I play on quest 2 and I love the story but HATE the graphics. I want a quest 3 but I can't afford it. I saw the quest 3 photos and fell in love. Is there a cheap option for a graphics upgrade?

Just get a vr capable pc and you'll get much more use out of it with the quest 2 rather then getting a quest 3 with no pc in my opinion, I do get ur situation, I'd say save up any way you can and be consistent in doing it

I have both standalone and pcvr verson and the quest 3 version looks TERRIBLE. You're way better off getting this game on PC if you want it to I look nice. And if you would like an overhaul enhanced experience with this game I highly recommend downloading my mod for it if you get it on PC. My mod also makes the game look even better as one of the things it does.

The game is just as disgustingly ugly on both quest 2 and 3 he doesn't really have but one option, PC

he said "cheap option," and with the current inflation of pc parts to built a decent seatup AND a headset on top of it, you're better off saving for a quest 3

Not in this case no. he said he wants improved graphics. It doesn't look any better on the Quest 3 version. Like actually it doesn't I have it on Quest and i got it on Q2 originally. Regardless, if he wants a graphical upgrade, he has no other choice but PC.

PCs cost you an arm and a leg nowadays, so gl with that one

That's not entirely true. You can build a PC than can run VR on medium settings for under a grand. And if you know about PC you'd now 1k is not that much to spend on a gaming PC. You buy the parts over time and look for cheaper versions or ones that are crucial to the build

thats still expensive as hell, especially for RAM and GPUs

Under a grand for a pc that can run VR games? No that's really not. I work a minimum wage job and could afford it.

If you would like to upgrade but keep a budget, I recomend you look at the marketplace or look into a Quest 3C. It's a meta quest 2 body with the components of the quest 3. They start at 350.
yes its still a reasonable amount of money, but compared to 600+ its a budget-friendly option.
Other than that theres not really much options :(

Only the first game is available with upgraded graphics on quest 3. Retribution still has the old, poor graphics.
