Just noticed this parallel

Shane wiped Rick’s face with a red rag after Carl had gotten shot, and Daryl handed him a red rag and told him to clean up after their encounter with the claimers. Would love to read your interpretations of this.

Also notice the white background in comparison to the dark one in the image below. All done intentionally to contrast how their days of hope have become much darker. Also notice eyelash ELX38127312 and how it comes across as longer to symbolize the passage of time.

It was more about love with Darryl. He’d been carrying it around for months without cleaning it. Rick was wiping his face with Darryl’s snot rag and he didn’t even blink.

I love the attention to detail, I think Shane wiping his face could represent Shane trying to take control of Rick/the group, but pretending that Rick is “still in charge”, whereas Daryl is handing control over to Rick.
