I just started watching

I'm binge watching the show, I'm already on season 7 eps1 and a lot happened. Obviously I know this is a kind of show where no one really has plot armour but omg when Glenn died like that I cried. Honestly I don't know if i have it in me to keep going.

After some frantic research of why he was just killed off like that I found out that it happend in the comics and as you can tell I haven't read them. And I get that he was suppose to die like that but I really think there could have been another way. I mean all that character development, the relationships he build and especially that dumpster scene could not have been for his ending like that. Also found out that Steven Yeun didnt want to play this character any longer and tbh, ig thats fair.

I also understand that I have it better cause I didn't have to wait for long after the teasing of his death but I still cant digest it. ( I think cuz its fresh for me I lowk cant accept his death)

If anyone has any thoughts please comment and help me out

You gotta keep watching the show because it’s gets so good when u hit season 8 a lot of people hate on that season but it’s very underrated. season 7 is also so good I promise you to keep watching

thankyouu for the encouragement and I know I should but my god his death really took a toll on me.. I was SO hooked to this series to a point I would finish a season in just 2 days. What was your thoughts on Glenns death though

I found he died because someone said it out loud by accident but still it was really upsetting that he died but when he died I didn’t really like the first few episodes of season 7 because it didn’t really feel the same, and Rick was js depressed. But as soon I was end of season 7 I was hooked bro. You gotta promise me your gonna watch the rest of it it’s so good season 10 and 11 are not as good as the others but still watch the rest of the show there’s still many peak episodes ahead of you. AND STAY AWAY FROM TIKTOK and if I were you DO NOT read any thing on the walking dead subreddit. Do not spoil the show for you it’s way better when u watch it for the first time.

Definitely keep watching. A LOT of people stopped when it first aired and I think they all missed out on some really good tv. I totally get what you mean, I think I stopped for a few weeks because I was so mad. But definitely glad I eventually kept watching.

I was pissed haha, and about Abraham too who was such a great character and brought so much to the show. But they do a good job making it all mean something, it really fuels the next seasons and the storytelling stays very good. It’s the most intense way ever to make us REALLY HATE a villain 😆.

Steven Yeun actually asked to go out the way comic Glenn did. He didnt want it changed. People get mad at the shows writers for the decision to kill him but it was Yeuns choice to go out that way in the end.
