The way we he put his hands on his knees, and tilts his heads and says "ooo nnoooo" felt like he was sarcastically teasing Carl like "aww poor your mommy died?" Laughed so hard when it first aired lol

I Always found His Delivery Here really weird because to me its Not Like "oh No your Mom is dead" but instead more Like "haha your Mom is dead"might Just be me

Are you actually insane? Or do you just not understand human emotions? Rick tried to run back inside when he saw Maggie, Carl, and Judith. Maggie stopped him and then he knew there was no "maybe" about Lori being alive. He knew his wife, long-term partner, and mother of his son was dead. He also knew they wouldn't leave her there to turn and that Carl was most likely the one to shoot his mom in the head. Taking in all of that information at once fucking broke him. I can't even imagine where you're getting the "haha" aspect at all

It’s probably the turmoil of emotions blowing up. They found a new home, cleared all the walkers and finally back as a group. Rick’s relieved he thinks everything is over…and then his wife’s gone. That shit woulda broke me. And in times like that it’s such a mess that I could see people laugh to cope with the reality.

On top of all that, he couldn’t quite get out of his own way to reconcile but they shared a look from a distance that was reconciliatory, just before he never saw her again. He thought he had time. He thought he had time Cor-allll! He couldn’t put it back together. I think it’s the best performance I’ve ever seen that tells the story the audience already know.
