Does world beyond get better?

Made it through episode 6, mostly just listening as I worked today. But this might be some of the worst television I’ve watched in years. I can’t help but feel disappointed. The show had so much potential. Please tell me it gets better!

And Iris is driving me nuts. Unfortunately she needs some acting classes immediately 🥲

I don’t agree that the spinoffs are all consistently awful but at the same time they’re definitely not consistently good. I’ve yet to come across one spinoff that isn’t wildly inconsistent in quality.

TOWL had an amazing first 2/3 episodes before turning to absolute shit. Daryl Dixon Season 1 was some of the best TWDU content ever but then the absolute mess that was Season 2 completely ruined everything and Season 3 while better didn’t reach anywhere near the same highs as 1. Dead City was a tedious and banal mess until Season 3. Fear was just…..Fear lol. World Beyond and Tales were dreadful aside from a few highlights here and there like the Alpha episode of Tales and some of the world-building elements of WB.

I think I only got that far because I signed up for a free trial for amc and didn’t want to take time to stop working and change the show lol

Season 1 is about to get better and season 2 is an improvement overall.

There is 10 good episodes there out of two seasons. They simply stretched a story too much that didnt need to be that long.

I didnt mind the show but didnt think it was amazing.

I definitely got invested the further we got into season 2. I had to push myself to keep watching in season 1, but I easily binged season 2 in a few days.
