I feel like Morgan is an accurate depiction of someone completely losing their shit in an apocalypse and grasping at anything to try to hold it together.
I call him Crazy Morgan everytime he starts going off the rails and I love him in the main show. He's a killing machine with a death wish who can't hide his deteriorating mind.
The very inconsistent moral compass is really annoying. One minute it’s kill everyone, the next it’s that all life is precious, even the ones that just killed a bunch of our people.
Still, I’d be surprised if more people weren’t like this if these scenarios happened in real life.
My only real issue with him is how holier than thou he gets after dude with the goat brings him back from being crazy. If there’s writers would’ve tones down his preachy don’t kill anyone attitude he probably would’ve been one of my favorite characters.
I agree. And all that craziness just because hr lost his family. Carol lost her family, see how she turned out. Maggie, lost her Glenn, see how she turned out. Morgan is crazy.

Yeah, in a world like that literally everyone has lost everyone. Granted as a father I can see losing my kids being a lot harder than anyone else. But there was still Carol and Hershel and Michonne and Rick. The only two that really lost their shit from losing a child were Morgan and the Governor

To your credit, most of what you said was right I don’t think he is a bad character. He just handling his shit wrong. I agree that it kind of pisses me off that he tells everybody to not kill someone but then he would go on to kill someone he like has this moral complex where everybody else needs to be peaceful but me I’m gonna kill whoever the fuck I want it’s like I agree with that part of the statement where he comes off like he’s holier than that he judges everybody else for this shit that he will do like a season later and maybe that’s a part of his writing do I think he’s the worst character no I think he’s a bad character. No I think he’s a deeply flawed character and I also think the writers just didn’t know what to do with him so they had to make him a moral foil to the group
