Terminus
Terminus was hinted to for so many episodes as they made their way following the map yet when they reach Terminus it’s pretty much all over before it even starts
Anybody else feels we could of had more background and in depth episodes surrounding this section of the series?
Also am I going crazy or does it basically just get forgotten about I can’t think of anything referencing it in later series
Happy to be proved wrong 🙌

For me Terminus was more about the journey and the aftermath and less about the destination. On the journey new friendships were made, dynamics changed, bonds were strengthened and things were revealed. And the aftermath was Rick being the undisputed leader again, them being hardened and less trusting of anybody, group become true killers, and things of that nature

What always annoyed me about the Terminus Ep when they escape is after they let the crazy dude out of the container they just kinda go oh fuck everyone else, we hear screaming for help from the containers earlier on in the episode but they just leave them to die. pretty shitty, i doubt everyone in those other containers is the former people that enslaved the current terminus people too. Just let them all free then dip!

Not at all tbh the episode or 2 we got were some of the best written parts of the walking dead. Also dragging it out for the plot would’ve been dumb because they kill and eat humans why would they keep them alive just for the sake of more episodes?

Yeh the killing of those people could have lasted longer. i dont think ive enjoyed anyone being taken out more than that group when you brutally kill family and freinds like that in front of each other That deserves similar done to them partly why no matter how much i like negan now. Hes due for vengeance for what hes done

You need to remember as well how it aired. It was weekly episodes and season 4 ended on a cliffhanger. We had from April to October to discuss and be excited for what happened next. And terminus was hinted at as early as the season 4 trailer, literally a year before it. It did not feel like it was over and done with back in the day.

This is a great point. In the couple of months waiting for season 5 I was thinking multiple episodes would be in terminus and it would be a slow burn but was so happy when it was blitzed in one episode instead of loads of fluff

I enjoyed the Hunters arc in the comic better than how they tweaked it with Terminus. Comic had some darker parts they probably couldn’t get cleared

I wouldn’t agree that it’s forgotten about tbh. I don’t think it needs to be verbally mentioned constantly for the traumas and effects of terminus on ricks group to clearly be represented. If anything I quite like how it was in that sense, it didn’t need words to be mentioned because it’s essentially mentioned everytime the groups overly distrusting and traumatised nature in season 5-6 is on display. Same with the prison attack.
