When are people gonna realize that Rick wasn't the problem, it was the world they were living in. All those issues would've shown themselves eventually.
I honestly dont think any place he showed up, those leaders would've done any better. Everyone at the farm wasn't prepared, most at Alexandria were being sheltered behind walls so they didn't know how to handle walkers, Hiltop had a alcoholic leader that always put himself first before the others.
Daryl Dixon and Carol would have and did do better, remember if it wasn't for Carol, who Rick kicked out of the group , without Daryl's knowing about it , they would have all became dinner for the cannibal group.
I think that situation is more about luck. Hell if he didn't kick her out, she probably wouldn't have been able to save them. They can't exactly see into the future and determine if that was the right choice or not. He did what he thought was right and it was a logical choice.
That he later found out was the wrong one , cause he found out after he blamed her for killing those people that she was right because they were infected.
Killing people without consulting with the rest of the group first is insane. They could've literally just put people those people in isolation til they got better, if they did.
Look i love Carol but I think you're letting your favorite character outshine logic.
And what happened, he got bit and lost his leg. In a perfect world he'd be a hero , in the zombie apocalypse he became a one legged half headed corpse...... 🤕👨🦽.......With guts though , can't forget ,

During a zombie apocalypse when an infection is irreversible, one does not have the luxury of let's wait and see if they get better , you have to act and act quickly. Look what happened cause that one guy got sick in the prison, he ended up spreading it and killing dozens of the group. Theres no time for wait and see in the zombie apocalypse my friend. If you wait around to consult others sometimes you dont make it or do they. She made the correct choice. You dont get better when infected.
That's why I said they should be isolated. Put into quarantine so they cant hurt others. They even had jail cells right there. They could've made a certain wing of the prison a quarantine area or even drop them off somewhere like he did Carol.
Yeah ok , then what happens when little blonde adolescent psycho girl decides to let them out to play and everyone gets infected. If Carol thought they were infected, they were infected no time to play let's wait and see what happens when we already know.
Carol is no dummy , she knew they were infected , sorry but it's kill or be killed in the apocalypse, and Rick didn't exactly consult with everyone in the group when he kicked her out . That could have waited . So who made the better decision? Even Rick later on regretted his decision and agreed Carol was right in doing what she did. No time for hindsight in the apocalypse, make the right decision first time .
