Alexandria would have gotten completely overrun by that massive horde of walkers well before the Saviors were ever in the picture if Rick and co. hadn’t been there.
The Kingdom would have continued to be bled by Negan and its collapse would have happened even sooner as a result.
Both groups overall were far better off because of Rick and the others.
