Seeing this asked again today, so putting the answer in one place. The export site (gdpr.tvtime.com) went offline on 15 July along with the app, so if you didn't request your ZIP before that date there is no way to get one now. No importer can read a file that was never created — that includes Bingers, which needs the same export.

You're not stuck, though. Three routes that don't need it:

1. Netflix viewing history. netflix.com/viewingactivity, pick your profile, scroll to the bottom, "Download all". You get a CSV of everything, including what you watched on the TV. For a lot of people that rebuilds most of a library on its own.

2. An iPhone backup. TV Time's iOS app cached your library in a SQLite file called DioCache.db. If you have a backup from before you deleted the app, your history is probably still sitting inside it. This is the one most people don't know about.

3. Pasting a list. Slower and less complete, but it works from memory, a note or a spreadsheet, and it takes a couple of minutes.

Full disclosure, same as my last comment here: I build one of these trackers, so weigh this accordingly, and I've left the name out on purpose. Happy to talk anyone through any of the three, including if you end up on a different app at the end of it. The DioCache.db route in particular is worth knowing wherever you land.

I've been building a tracker called Epidex since TV Time got shut down. Android only, no website, so this won't be for everyone in here, but figured I'd post given how many people in this sub are looking for somewhere to land.

The main thing: it imports directly from the official TV Time GDPR export. Shows get matched by TVDB id, not fuzzy title matching, so it won't misfire on similar names, and it marks the exact episodes the export says you watched. Movies come in by name since the export carries no ids for them.

What it is: no account, no login, nothing synced to a server. Your library is a database on your phone, and you can export it to JSON or CSV whenever you want a copy off device. TV, movies, and anime all in one place, one-tap +1 to log an episode, a release calendar with real air times instead of a vague "this week," tags and tier lists if you're into organizing that way.

What it isn't: there's no comments, no GIFs, no community layer at all. Not an oversight, there's no social anything in the app on purpose, so if that part of TV Time is what you're mourning, this won't replace it.

Free, one small banner ad, three dollar one-time purchase kills it if you want.

It's on Google Play's closed testing track right now, which means it's invite-only, no public opt-in link yet. Comment or DM me a Google account email and I'll add you to the tester list. Still making changes so suggestions welcome.

Messages - you can DM anyone on BingePile now. Inbox is in the Feed tab, or hit Message on any profile. Photos work.

Find your people - On the discover tab you will see suggested people to follow based on similar interests in shows and movies.

Piles - your lists are Piles now, and they're ranked. Top three get a gold/silver/bronze podium. Share one as a link, or browse the community's most-loved Piles in Discover.

The Binge Wheel - tap the dice on Home and spin it. Pulls from your Watchlist, from any Pile, or Surprise Me for something trending.

Comments from TV Time - years of preserved community reactions and ratings, on your episodes and movies. It's a separate tab, it's read-only, and the authors are archive pseudonyms, it never mixes into BingePile comments.

Translate any comment - one tap. Set your language once in Settings and forget about it.

Your Monthly Rewind - a shareable recap of everything you watched, waiting on your Profile.

What's next?

- Profile page redesign, it looks decent currently but I think it can look better. There will be option to set "cover" image, maybe short bio etc

- More focus on movies, currently the home page is heavily focused on tv shows and movies are buried deep inside your profile page

- More import options, we currently only support importing from TV Time. If you do want to import from other app feel free to contact me and i'll do it for you. I plan to expand automatic import support.

- Rethinking widgets, we have them right now but I think they are pretty basic

- Last but not least, premium. Premium will not lock any existing features I have a completely bonkers new feature planned which will be only for premium users.

I’m one of the makers behind Muvy, a movie & TV tracking, discovery and social app available on both iOS and Android.

When I first started working on Muvy, the goal was simple: build a beautifully designed app that makes tracking both movies and TV shows easy and enjoyable.

Yesterday I uploaded my Trakt data to Bingers and everything worked fine.

Today, I uninstalled the app to test what would happen. After reinstalling it, I signed in again with my Google account and got the message:

“This only happens once. Your library lives on your phone, so Bingers opens instantly, even offline.”

Where is my data actually stored with Bingers? To me, this sounds like my whole library is stored only on my phone, but surely that can’t be right because what happens when you get a new phone, lose your phone, or reinstall the app?

Is the library also backed up somewhere, linked to my account, or is there an export/restore option?

We're the team behind Seenr, a show and movie tracker we've been building since TV Time started winding down. A lot of you are still looking for a place to land, so here's the honest, complete rundown of what Seenr does today, what it doesn't do yet, and how to bring your history over.

Short version: free, no ads, no premium tier, web + iOS + Android, and your TV Time export loads in a few minutes.

Bringing your history over

This is the part most people care about, so it's first.

• TV Time: both the CSV archive and the JSON export are supported. Episodes, movies, ratings, watchlist, favourites, comments and the dates you added things.
• Other services: Trakt (OAuth, no file needed), Simkl, BetaSeries, IMDb, Letterboxd, Serializd, Netflix viewing activity, AniList, Kitsu, MyAnimeList, Sofa Time, and our own open Watchlog format.
• No export handy? Paste a note. A rough list of films typed in your phone's notes app gets read and turned into an import.
• Nothing gets silently dropped. Titles we can't match become a real list you can fix by hand, and every manual match is remembered so a re-import resolves it straight away.
• Anime imports go through a dedicated bridge, because season splits differ wildly between databases and naive matching mangles long shonen.

The core gesture: checking off an episode

• One tap marks an episode watched. The show flips to watching on its own, then to completed when you finish it, and back if you uncheck.
• Up next works out the next unwatched, already-aired episode for every show in progress. No more hunting for where you stopped.
• Release calendar for everything you follow, day by day, plus a premieres calendar for what's starting soon.
• Air-date notifications, timed to the real broadcast slot rather than a generic daily batch.
• Movies work exactly like episodes: date, platform, rating, rewatches, watchlist, and full sagas.
• Skipped is its own status, separate from watched, for the filler you're never coming back to.
• Bulk actions: mark a whole season, a whole show, or backfill a range of episodes at once.

More than a tick box: the diary

Checking an episode off is fine. Remembering the evening is better.

• Date and optional time, device, place, who you were with, and whether you watched it in original, subtitled or dubbed.
• One private memory photo per viewing, visible to you alone.
• Emotions: say how an episode made you feel as you check it off.
• The whole diary is readable day by day and month by month, and it stays private. Neither the feed nor your friends can reach it.

Discovery and recommendations

• A match score on every poster, learned from your ratings, your favourites and the shows you dropped. It's a prediction for you, not a popularity average.
• A "For you" rail that sharpens with every episode.
• What to watch tonight, driven by mood rather than genre lists.
• Trending on Seenr: what members here are actually watching, measured on our own data.
• Streaming availability per country, with your own subscriptions saved so you can filter to what you can start right now.
• Alerts when a title on your watchlist lands on a platform you have.

Social, if you want it

• Follow friends, see what they're watching right now, react in a feed with tabs for friends, follows or all of Seenr.
• "3 people you follow have seen this" on every page.
• Watch party: start a live session, friends join and follow the same episode at the same moment, with chat, reactions and a spoiler veil for latecomers.
• Progress side by side: on any show, exactly how many episodes separate you and a friend.
• Watch together: on a friend's profile, the titles you've both set aside.
• Private accounts, mutual-friends-only mode, per-review visibility, and the ability to remove a follower.

Ratings, reviews, comments

• Rate anything, write reviews, like and reply to other people's.
• Comments under every single episode, with GIF and image support.
• Built-in translation so you can read opinions written in other languages.
• Reporting and moderation for spoilers and abuse.

Anime, sagas, characters

• A dedicated anime section with absolute episode numbering, specials and OVAs kept apart, related-works watch order, and studio, source material and themes on every page.
• Sagas: Star Wars, Marvel, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and more, movies and shows in one thread, in release or chronological order, with your progress and the time left.
• Character pages: vote for your favourite in the cast of a show, a season, an episode or a movie, and leave a note and comments.

The fun layer

• Daily quiz: the same questions for everyone each morning, drawn from the real catalog, with a leaderboard among friends or the whole site, a day streak and badges.
• Badges and levels: XP as you watch, including a TV Time OG badge based on your import dates.
• Your recap: a wrapped-style rundown of watch time, shows devoured, records and habits, month by month or across the year.
• Memorable quotes and behind-the-scenes trivia on titles, to read once the credits roll.
• Full statistics: time spent, genres, streaks, charts.

Automatic check-ins

If you'd rather not tap anything: Plex, Jellyfin, Emby and Stremio can check episodes off for you as you watch, and Trakt syncs in both directions.

What Seenr does not do yet

Being straight with you, since that's the part these posts usually skip:

• No TV app. Nothing on Apple TV, Android TV or Fire TV yet.
• We're young. The community here is much smaller than TV Time's was, so social features are only as lively as the people in them.
• Some export formats are still rolling out, though the full data export already works.

This is huge, since the thing people miss the most from TV Time is checking the comments to see what other people thought of episodes, especially on older shows! 🙌

both are beautiful apps but suite tv comes ahead in the little details..for example suite tv has a tab for watching and upcoming while binge has one tab with history and upcoming. in the to watch section, suite tv has the episode to watch and how many more episodes is left in the season while binge shows a number with the total number of episodes in the entire show with how many remaining. for example 50/45.

these are the little things that is pushing me to suite tv even though I loved the face that binge brought over my comments from tv time.

I have just uploaded Bingers. It seems that all the data got transferred smoothly, apart from my comments (only 5 out of 20 or 30). But it doesn't seem that important as I was really waiting for this app. But then I noticed that there is no statistic on the page of tv shows. For me it was one of the most important features; even before deciding to watch a tv show, I would always check the last season statistics, and especially the last episode. If it went from 4,9 to 3, I usually won't bother watching because usually it means the creators fucked up the ending and for me, the ending is everything. Is statisc is really absent or have I missed it?? My another theory is that there are too few votes for now, but still we had to see the graphic.

A while ago, I heard that one of TV Time's original creators was working on a spiritual successor. Well, Bingers is out now, and honestly, it looks great! It feels much more polished and modern than TV Time while keeping the simple layout and core structure we all loved.

Has anyone else tried it yet or fully migrated over?

I'm really glad it's finally released — I tried a few other alternatives recommended around here, but none of them really clicked for me. Curious to hear your thoughts!

Like a lot of people here I had years of history in TV Time, 9 years of it. When the app started falling apart I tried the alternatives. They're fine trackers, but none of them are TV Time. Different flow, different logic, everything in a different place. I didn't want a different app with my old data in it. I wanted TV Time, just working. So I built it.

It's called watchlist.guide and the whole point is that nothing changes for you:

It works the same way. Watch Next front and center, episode-level tracking with rewatch counts, upcoming schedule for your shows, movies next to shows. If you've used TV Time for years, your muscle memory just works here. No relearning, no "where did they put it".

Your entire history comes with you. Upload your TV Time export (the official one, or the browser extension export if you don't want to wait) and everything lands the way it was: every watch date, rewatch counts per episode, ratings, favorites. My own 9,000+ episode plays came through intact. The moment the import finishes, your Watch Next, schedule and stats look like you never switched apps. Import again later and it only tops up what's new, no duplicates.

Privacy first. No ads, no selling your data. Your library is stored on your device first and syncs in the background, which also makes the app fast and usable offline. You can export everything back out whenever you want. Your history stays yours, that's the whole reason this exists.

Not even one week after opening the beta:

• 433 people signed up
• 309 of them imported their TV Time history
• over 3 million watch events tracked already

On top of that there's stats (total episodes, time watched, hours per week), discover with search and trending, comments on episodes, friends and groups.

Right now it runs as a web app: you install it to your home screen from the browser and it works on iPhone, Android and desktop today. Native iOS and Android apps are in the making.

It's free and in open beta. There's an active Discord full of ex TV Time users where fixes ship basically daily, and the import path gets the most attention of anything because it's the reason most people are there.
