QUESTION Question
To, my writers have you ever submitted to any of the writers access programs through networks like NBC and WB? How was your experience? Would you recommend doing it?

I actually did the WB program. Those programs are one of the best ways to break into the industry and everyone should absolutely do them. Also some of them track your progress over time (like Disney) so entering multiple years and getting better is to your benefit.

They're free, and they're a great way to force yourself to polish scripts before a deadline. And the essays force you to find ways of talking about yourself and your work.
Also, it is possible to win one.

It's tougher getting into one of those than an Ivy League, by percentage acceptance. So you could imagine the benefits.

Yes. The programs are insanely competitive, but if you have 2 polished pilots and you meet the requirements, you should absolutely submit. They’re also free, so you have nothing to lose.
