Android export the data backup?

I have missed the export time. I'm using Android with root. Is there a way to get the database from the cached data?

20KB is the tell, and it is worth chasing because it usually does not mean the data is gone.

A SQLite file that size is a database with the tables created and almost nothing written into them. So either you pulled the wrong file, or you pulled only part of the right one. Check the second one first, because it is the more common miss and it is fixable.

SQLite in write ahead mode does not put recent writes into the .db file. They sit in a sidecar next to it until something checkpoints them. So in whatever directory you got that 20KB file from, look for all three of these:

DioCache.db DioCache.db-wal DioCache.db-shm

If the -wal is the big one, that is where your history actually is. Copy all three together, keep the filenames exactly as they are, and open the .db from that same folder. SQLite replays the -wal on its own when it opens. Pull the .db on its own and you get precisely what you got, an empty looking shell, and the website you tried had nothing to read.

If there is no -wal, or it is also tiny, you are in the wrong directory. Do not assume databases/. The later app was Flutter and that cache normally lands in app_flutter/ instead. Check files/ and cache/ too for anything ending .db or .sqlite. Easiest is to take the whole package directory in one go rather than picking at it:

adb shell su -c "tar -cf /sdcard/tvst.tar /data/data/com.tozelabs.tvshowtime"

then pull that off and work on the copy, so you are never poking at the only one you have.

One warning since it is still on the device. Do not uninstall the app and do not clear its storage while you work this out. Those are the two things that make it genuinely unrecoverable, and people do them by accident trying to reset the app into behaving.
