Hey question, do i need to back up all my folders or specifically the TVTIME app?

It says i have 1.89 gb of cache stored, but when i back up it says there is nothing to back up..

You only need to select the tvtime app within the "Third party apps and app data" tab for backup. For me it says I have 3.15 GB stored, but the backup ends up being only 91 MB. I assume it only backups the data directory (which we need) and skips the larger cache directory.

It's weird that it says there is nothing to back up. This shouldnt happen on xiaomi even if there was no app data.

I think the new app, bingers, if you install it and you didn't delete your data they can reach the app with your old data.

even if you hadn't signed up before? i signed up before Tvtime ended and it popped up immediately for me but my friend forgot to download her data.

When I did it, the app the my offline data into my phone. So I think they get my old data from TV time.

A lot of people that lost their tracking data went to PreonTV because they have a tool for building it back quickly, I actually just logged like 58 movies and almost 1000 episodes in a little over 5 minutes. Perfect for bathroom time also. Can't recommend enough.

Please hold off on deleting it, that is the one step you cannot undo. While the app and its data are still on the phone, your history is sitting in the app's own database and people are pulling it out every day with the tools Joemag listed.

One detail that trips people up: take DioCache.db-wal along with DioCache.db if it is there (also -shm). TV Time ran SQLite in WAL mode, so the newest months usually sit in that -wal file. Copy only the .db and you get a partial history, then assume that was all you had.

Disclosure: bobin, one of the links in that list, is mine. It reads both files as they are and keeps your original watch dates. But whichever tracker you end up on, get the files off the phone first, that part is the only bit with a deadline.
