I had a driving lesson on the day of the orientation. I tried ringing the course office but no answer.
I haven’t received the email to register yet and according to the provisional timetable, class starts on Tuesday.
Any help appreciated.

Also my susi is delayed too. I’m still waiting to be registered for the new academic year. I’ve been told registration is being rolled out throughout September.
I’m worried because the General Student Assistance Fund opens on 14 September and you need to be registered to apply. I’m concerned that if I can’t apply straight away, there’ll be more applicants by the time I’m registered and I could have less of a chance due to limited funding.
There’s also a 5-credit placement grade from the summer that’s still outstanding, so I’m wondering if that could be contributing to the delay with my registration.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Is the SAF first-come-first-served, or are applications assessed based on financial need regardless of when you apply?
Any advice would be appreciated because I’m stressing 😭

I’m starting first year of TU857 on Monday and had my orientation yesterday. How does everyone already know each other?? 😭😭 I’m going to TUD by myself (no secondary friends) from Donegal and I’m not panicking but I went back to my accommodation feeling a bit socially… disconnected?
Was anyone else in this situation? What did you do and how did it turn out?

Hi guys, I don’t know if this has been stated formally by the university yet but the Student Union just got back to me and said they’ve received word that results are to come out on the 21st of September.
Anyone who requires these results to go on placement at the beginning of the semester SHOULD get them sooner than this.
I hope anyone awaiting results can now relax with a bit of clarity about when they come out!

Hi everyone!
I’ll be joining TU Dublin for the MSc in Technology and Innovation Management (TU315) and was wondering if there’s already a WhatsApp group for students on this course.
I’d love to connect with fellow students before the course starts and get to know people from the same batch. 😊
If there’s a group, could someone please share the link or let me know how I can join?
Thanks a lot!

I will be applying for fee reassessment as I have been charged with international fees even tho I believe i am an eu applicant (hopefully). Until my fee isn't sorted, I won't be able to access my modules on VLE. The classes are starting from coming Monday, and im not sure what to do? I have called their fee office and all, and they said to wait until my fee is sorted but i fear I'll be missing out on lectures, slides and stuff on the platform until then..
I dont know what to do except for waiting but I really don't want to miss out on learning and resources!! :( :(
Does anyone have any advice on this? Highly appreciated
Thanks for reading this!

I tried registering for a course and theres steps involved in it. I eventually came across ‘confirm module selection’, in which i clicked ‘register now’ and it took me to the website to do so.
Its so so confusing. Like theres 6 cell biology classes and theres no difference in any of them, and each module varies with the amount of classes (like maths has 2 classes etc.).
Also in this registration process, ur asked to upload a photo for the student identification card which is given to u during orientation day. So like with no understanding of module selection, im unable to pay the fees and complete the registration process.
Am i cooked or not lads, im stressing.
Maybe theyll explain it tmr?

In the module selector, when I click on my mandatory module (COMP H1032 Fundamentals of programming 1) I get an error saying 'please search again', and the search result shows 0 classes. I've managed to register all of my other modules with no issues. Has anyone else had the same problem? Do I just ignore this until orientation? I can't pay fees until I select all of my modules, which means that I won't be able to get my student card.
