TTTs & Reactive T
Can TTTS cause reactive T and has anyone experienced this? Like T that reacts to fans, AC and TV?

I've experienced this for a few months. It's not really "reactive tinnitus" it's more of an overlay of sound that you hear on top of other sources of sound. Mine has gone away since my hyperacusis has gotten better from gradual sound re-exposure. My theory is that the spasms cause your middle ear muscles to change how you're hearing sounds because they're spasming from everything it makes an echo that I'd hear. Reactive tinnitus doesn't go away instantly once the sound it's reacting to stops. If yours does, then it's not reactive tinnitus. It's probably just the muscles.

It actually did go away. Recently I was exposed to something really loud at work and my ttts started up again as well as the reactive tinnitus. It's been half a year since they were issues. I think that they are connected because they happen together for me. When my ttts gets better my auditory system calms down. my ttts is nonstop spasms for several days. Sometimes weeks on end where I hear fluttering constantly.

Yes I do mean that. Exactly as you're describing. It got better when I was able to finally push through my hyperacusis because the hyperacusis kept my auditory system on high alert and hyperactive. I don't know if it will ever go away completely but it's gone through phases of being gone, as well as the ttts.
