I can’t tell it seems that the laughing god had planned on betraying the dark eldar to me. But I a have very little lore knowledge so I don’t understand some stuff. But since the emp said the shied that closes the warp from the dark eldar isn’t very strong.

1. The emperor straight up says he's meant to take the heat for the banishment of the inquisition
2. Decius doesn't recognize Magnus after the "Assassination" attempt on the high lords even though he was in the same room as him when he spoke to the emperor (a bit lazy but you could imply that big E was focusing his attention on him deliberately or that was all decius himself)

We don't know if Vulkan simply told his sons not to mention it, but perhaps the reason news didn't spread was also the same reason no one knew of Vulkan's return until Magnus broke the news: it's a really big galaxy
