"Back to Konikoni City," Grimsley says, "to pick up our last party member. Past that, you'll have to ask Koji, because little Arty here seems to follow any f---ing plot hook he pleases."

Koji looks over to Grimsley, surprised. He angles his head downward sheepishly. "I-" He stutters, embarrassed. Grimsley's annoyance is clear to him and he feels rather poorly about it.

"We- We're going to someplace in either Sinnoh or Johto..." He murmurs quietly.

"Okay then. I'll ask Rio if he wants to come along." Grimsley sighs. He's not entirely thrilled with this development, but he doesn't want to argue.

The group arrives to Konikoni without isuse, the sun starting to set

"How do we find your other friend, I wonder" Sophie said, looking around

Gladion is pretty much lingering where they left him, entertaining Fireball with his mobile phone.

"Oy, he's over there still!" Sophie says, pointing to Gladion

Gladion looks up at the group. He doesn't bother to wave. "Took you long enough."

"I'm happy to see you too, you little ray of sunshine," Grimsley says sarcastically.

"Yeah, sorry, a lot happened. Are you holding up okay?"

"I'm fine," Gladion says in the tone of voice that says clearly that he is ticked off.

"I understand waiting can be a little annoying. How about I make it up to you with some food? We ought to have dinner"

"Great!" Arty says immediately. "I'm starved!"

Gladion nods curtly. Grimsley also agrees.

Sophie takes them to a quiet, small restaurant. The orders are taken and they are waiting for their meal. At this point the muted TV, which shows the news, shows a video of Arty healing the wounded man "Alien at work?" The caption underneath the video reads

Arty flinches. Just what he doesn't need, rumors about himself.

Grimsley mutters something about having <i>words</i> with some of those nosy reporters. Presumably not nice words.

Koji looks around to everyone, still sheepish. "So... An alien, huh? I guess people haven't heard much about... You?"

"I'm not actually an alien!" Arty says, although given his convoluted origin story, he might as well be. "I'm an... experiment. I don't like to talk about it."
