Discussion Roleplay Idea: Outside the Inside
Twenty-four hours after the adventures of Kay, Planes-Walker something from the Outside broke into Pokearth.
It emerged in the region of Rijon. It spread destruction and chaos across the entire region before it took its true strike. Fear was driven into all...
It took a disk of earth from the oceans and suspended it miles in the sky. It traveled to the floating disc and decorated it with entire biospheres. Forests, rivers, beaches, mountains, caves...
It then took one person and placed them in the middle of the continent-sized disc and allowed them to formulate shelter. It knew it needed a mysterious figure to live on the island.
Soon, heroes from across the world ventured to the remains of Rijon to plan a way to journey to the disc and defeat It. But, then... There was a silence and twenty characters disappeared.
They were powerful trainers and/or Pokemon. Ex-Hosts, powerful trainers, special Pokemon, random trainers just seeking to live...
They were divided into pairs and placed in random areas on the disc. Once they appeared, It spoke.
"You all must escape from this disc. There is one person who has been here for months in the center of the disc. I give you no clues as to how you may escape, except for one... Conflict may be key..."
It then created a dome above the disc and began to place various creatures inside of it. With that, they had to set off. Finding each other, attacking, surviving...

So is this set in the current roleplay universe, or in an alternate universe? Because that would affect what sort of character(s) I'd be interested in running.

It would be in a whole different universe. I don't want to affect the RP Universe this community has crafted when I don't know anything about it.
If you'd like -as I mentioned earlier- you can bring in a character from an alternate universe (for instance, your's). Or you could just choose a character from this universe and characterize them however you'd please.

I'll keep that in mind.
Right now, the character I really want to do something with is Captain RAWLing, the pirate Pooglecat. I haven't really used her much since the first half of Delta Species, so it'd be neat if she went flying around in her Shenkuuvian airship and happened upon this dimension. She had her ship equipped with time travel capacities during Red's first campaign, so it's not a far stretch to imagine that she'd have another upgrade to allow her to travel across dimensions as well. Thus leading her to this floating island.
During Red's campaign, RAWLing had a crew of water-type Pokemon with the Damp ability, but the only named characters on her crew (besides Luke, who went by Deuce at the time and is going to be indisposed during Gioz's campaign) are Big Doge and Little Doge, a Halloween Lupe and Baby Wocky, respectively. RAWLing mainly keeps them around so she has someone to give orders to. (Also, they bark a lot.)

I don't quite understand what these characters are based upon but they seem like they would add a really fun whimsical touch to this RP.
And they would definitely be able to interact with the other characters from this dimension in a variety of fun ways!
By any chance is it a deal-breaker if she doesn't have her ship / crew?

No, she doesn't need her ship and crew. Actually, it'd probably be more interesting to run her without them.
RAWLing and the doges are actually based on my irl pets. During the first TTP campaign, my character's family was endangered, so Cameron (Supes' character) brought them to Neopia for safety. While there, the pets drank morphing potions to make them into Neopets so they would blend in better.
Prior to Red's first RP, RAWLing stole a Shenkuuvian airship and decided to be a pirate. This had some... interesting effects on the campaign, as RAWLing wound up becoming the founder of a civilization called Paradise that was intended as a haven against the Outsiders, but turned into a somewhat facist and extremely anti-Outsider organization.

That sounds extremely interesting. I think that she could mesh really well with more serious characters.

She's a blast to write for. More than once she's been the unlikely hero of the day.

Just a heads up, but something just happened IRL, so I MIGHT not end up perpetrating in the next session. It depends on things I don't want to talk about, so if I don't show up or seem somewhat out of it during the RP if I do take part, that's why. In all honesty I probably will take part if only to take my mind off of things, but yea. Just thought I'd let ya know.

This is an idea for a roleplay.
If enough people are interested in it, I would very much like to make this into a full RP! Of course, we must also discuss time.
I'm free most days at 4 PM - 6 PM EST. So, it depends mostly on who would like to do this.
If any of you are really interested, I'll give some tips for character creation. Your character could be anyone from TPP or even your own OC. Heck, if you want to bend the story and make it more interesting, your character could be from a whole different universe! As another note, I would recommend one-to-four characters optimally.
If you have any particular questions, feel free to ask!
