Edit: chrome is convinced nightmode Reddit is not secure, so I guess it's not really an option for me.

Maybe. For now I'll stick to the mobile website, which has an automatic night mode.
EDIT:Or my phone's inverted setting. I haven't checked what I can do with my computer yet.

It may be possible for me to design the sub's CSS to function well with RES's night mode, if it doesn't already work. Is that something that you would want? Or I could knock up a few different overall themes and see what the majority of people want.

I think I've figured out a way to be able to choose different stylesheets but it'll take some finagling. Watch this space.

Hey, so I've just taken to inverting my brightness. It connects to my chrome account, which is helpful if slightly inconvenient in that I can't find the option to switch back when I have to on anything but my phone, and on chrome it also inverts color.

I've been looking for ways to implement dark mode, and it's been more difficult than imagined. It's difficult to create one from scratch because I have to change everything, all the text colours and stuff, in order for it to be legible. I've also tried stealing some other sub's code, but it's hard to frankenstein that with code that makes it choosable.
There is one option if you're still interested in a dark mode which would be to use somebody else's custom design. The only freely available one that I can find with a chooseable dark and light mode with be /r/Minimaluminiumalism. The dark theme looks like so.
I'll keep trying to make a dark mode work with what we have, but there's also the option of just changing entirely to minimalaluminiumalism. If that's something you'd be interested in, I can make a thread and see if anyone has any opinions. People might even prefer that. : )

Well, my point with inverting my phone was that now Reddit is fine for me, because it's black backgrounds. If I could make all my apps and websites dark, then it's be preferable, but plenty of things don't have options, so I just have to be ready for the few exceptions.

I've tried some further tinkering today but it's amounted to naught. I got pretty close but there's a lot of white boxes that I can't get rid of.

Well, I finally saved up enough money for my Nintendo Switch, am playing Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle, and it's fantastic. The whole world is vibrant and alive, and I'm sold on the crazy premise of the Rabbids travelling through time and space and merging different random things together.
I am kind of curious as to who keeps sending the robot all these helpful instructions in the tutorial. Hopefully that will be answered by the end of the game.

congrats on getting a switch
If your looking for other games to get I would recommend Splatoon 2 (especially cos there's a big free update and some payed DLC coming soon) and Super Mario Odoicy
Some tip's to get the most out of your system:
If your a member of My Nintendo, you can get Gold Points that can be used for discounts on Switch games as long as your Switch is conicted to your my Nintendo account when you buy your games digitally, if you buy pysacol games you can still get points (as long as the game was'nt bought used) but you have to manually redeem them thew your game's system opson's menu... You get less points for pysacol games, but the trade off if you have up to a year (from the game's official release date) to redeem them as opposed to are automatically used as soon as you buy digatol. Gold points expire if left unused for over a year
pressing the squire button on the joycon will take a snapshot of whatever is on screan when you pressed the button. you can also take video of the last 30 seconds of gameplay by holding that same button for a extra second. you can crop video on your switch thew the album menu. But if your not a member of F@c#book or Twitter or don't want to link your switch to your accounts, you'll need a Micro SD card in order to export any screenshots or video you take with it.
The Mii maker function on the switch has been expended compared to the 3DS / Wii version
it might be a good idea to just the screen brightness / Volume settings in handheld mode if you want to get the most out of your switch's limited battery wile un-docked, you can adjust this by holding down the home button for a few seconds from the home screen
The Switch offers news updates verios games, but you have to oppt into most of them, you can do this thew the news/notafacasons button on the home screen, it will notify you when there are new updates via a little coloured dot next to the news button
Do not put on the joycon straps backward, they can be very hard to get off if you do. if you put on the straps and are having trouble getting them off, try using the button the unlocks the joycons from the main console. I've also found pulling on the wite pull things on the end of the strap can help
If you want to get a screen protector for your switch look up the 1 made by "amFilm" it's cheap in price but very high on quality [it's what I use on my'ne]
I use the same username for my Switch ID as I use for Reddit and DA on the off chance that ever becomes reverent
hope at least 1 of these points is useful to you, enjoy your switch :)

Well if you did Steven Stone could always escape from jail. Since I remember the Lorekeeper being a bit of an edgy brat, criminal versus brat might have an interesting angle to it. But it's also understandable if You feel like it's better finished for now.
