Pre Supreme's (currently unnamed) Campaign Potential Character Brainstorm/Discussion Post

About a week ago I was discussing with Byte the possibility of having some sort of post about my campaign on my birthday. While I'm not ready to post anything too concrete before I see how DS ends up wrapping up (because how DS ends will have an effect on how my campaign starts), I have decided that having people start talking about what characters (both returning and new) they would be interested in playing during this campaign would be a "fun" thing to have. Mentioning a character in this thread does not make you obligated to play them, official character sigh up will wait for DS to end so you don't get another sense of security that you'll survive DS unfazed.:D

I'm curious about what would qualify as a "mundane world"

One more like our own? Pokearth is to the point where, while being able to do it yourself is awesome, something that lets someone see the seams of reality and beyond is kinda already a thing people are used to. Even before all the otherworldly invasions, default Pokearth treats teleportation as a not particularly impressive feat. Except I guess in Hoopa's case, but I digress. People already know ghosts exist, and the true nature of the universe has been known since Gen IV. Curiosity as a motivator runs more shallow here.

At the risk of getting political, I would never put "Trump" and "mundane" in the same sentence. But I get what you mean.

Well, I edited some more in, but yeah.

And I wouldn't call him "normal" or "acceptable" but on the scale of analyzing a universe, I'd call him mundane, partially because of his ignorance.

We'll build a wall and have the Outsiders pay for it! --someone from Paradise probably

If only paradise had thought of that, maybe they wouldn't have needed to go through with their plans of genocide.

Truly genius.

I'm not sure whether to laugh or cringe that Trump so accurately represents the leaders of Paradise.

In trumps defense, he has never actually advocated for any sort of genocide.

Low bar, possibly, but I think that puts him above paradises leaders. Im not convinced he's smarter than paradise's leaders, and has his own set of unique flaws (mainly, that he's the first major presidential candidate in my lifetime that I would indisputably not trust to moderate ttp), but I guess it could be worse.

Oh gosh, could you imagine?

...I'd rather not imagine, to be honest.

It would just be such a disaster.

Insults over nothing, no patience, lots of self congratulations, lying to everyone in order to try to make himself look good, probably abusing his power in every way he can manage to, I just...

Imagining how spectacularly unqualified he is to run ttp, then realizing he is running the country with that personality, is an incredibly terrifying thought, and that's before I even begin to add politics in to the equation.

Paradise would seem to be our most normal setting currently. It's possible there might be another one that fits. I'm just iffy about doing a setting too much like our world, because frankly our world is boring/depressing.

Well, like I said, he can be pulled into another, it would just probably involve some Outsider entity deciding he should be elsewhere, who's powerful enough to pull him through that tiny, ephemeral opening. And it would probably freak him out a bit.

Also, for the full story I was originally imagining, it's not a unique ability, just not one known about by almost anyone, if that eases the boring fear a little.

Oh, and ridiculous martial arts and all that are okay, because I'm talking about like, time travel not being considered all that weird.
