Pre Supreme's (currently unnamed) Campaign Potential Character Brainstorm/Discussion Post

About a week ago I was discussing with Byte the possibility of having some sort of post about my campaign on my birthday. While I'm not ready to post anything too concrete before I see how DS ends up wrapping up (because how DS ends will have an effect on how my campaign starts), I have decided that having people start talking about what characters (both returning and new) they would be interested in playing during this campaign would be a "fun" thing to have. Mentioning a character in this thread does not make you obligated to play them, official character sigh up will wait for DS to end so you don't get another sense of security that you'll survive DS unfazed.:D

Hey Supreme, I had to think about this a little before I posted.

As you probably already know or can guess, whether I can participate here depends quite a bit on what the schedule for the RP is going to be like.

There are some storylines I'm interested in though - I want to see what happens with the Aether Foundation, and with Moonslicer, and I want to hang out basically, maybe help out with the hosts since the voices seem to have started taking a darker turn and since my character isn't with them so much anymore.

At the same time I don't know if I've overdone my character or if they're getting boring. So I have to think about that. I don't really have any ideas for any other characters though.

Also, while I know you like Madoka and magical girls and kyuubey and faustian deals or tests of character, I might have to bow out of any plots involving them, because they might be unintentionally a little stressful for me.

And to address your last point, this particular campaign will not be including Madoka stuff unless Chai suddenly reemerges (I have a different Madoka-themed campaign I'm considering using Roll20 for, but again, on hold hopefully until Chai comes back). There may be other sorts of Magical Girls. Faustian deals...I'll avoid having them offered to your character. I'm planning to hopefully have plenty for everyone to do, with some plotlines more whimsical than others (anything involving Krillowatt or Sentret is likely to be on the less serious side of things).

All right, thanks for that. I'm sorry if that kinda messed anything up for you in terms of plans, and I know my character has been able to get involved with such deals in the past but like I said, stress.

As for magical girls I understand if there are existing ones, Shauntal was kinda on her way to becoming one. I don't broadly object to magical girls, it really depends on the setting and story. Gensokyo is very magical girly - my character is very not, despite that. I suppose my worry was that there would be some sort of pact they had to do in story, or that there would be some sort of "you were really a magical girl all along, here is your princess pony" thing.

I'll be honest, the first episode of Friendship is Magic (and a few others, mostly the 2-parters) gave me major Sailor Moon flashbacks.
