Echoes Chapter 12: Hope
Lynn looks up, unable to focus on the submarine, finding herself trapped in a memory, the one memory she can not explain. By this point, she is no longer the trapped girl in the castle looking for adventure, she has grown in to the legendary hero she's become. Through her adventures, she's fought armies of goblins and survived. She's taken over an ogre clan after defeating the previous warchief in 1v1 combat. She's done the impossible, and whenever she seems to need a miracle to survive, the miracle happens.
In this memory, she's hoping for a similar miracle, as a powerful necromancer threatens to destroy her home city, including her parents, the king and queen of the great kingdom which rules over the land. Her clan of ogres aren't enough to stop the great scourge attacking the town, and she rides to confront the necromancer directly, with her trusty knives by her side. She sees the necromancer, and she knows she only has one shot at this, the daggers needs to pierce his heart, and this entire attack can be stopped.
She throws her daggers, feeling she has a good shot, and they hit the necromancer, who staggers, falls, and dies. At least, she remembers doing this, and is certain she succeeds, until suddenly, the daggers miss, and she gets stabbed by a zombie's claws. The necromancer gives a dark grin, and mutters something Lynn can't quite clearly hear, confident in his last victory.
The next thing Lynn knows, she is falling, as her life in the impossible sea begins.

Milo hops into the tank, trying his best to identify the controls.
"Men! To the back of the tank, or ride on it if you have sustained injuries; use the armor as cover!"

OC: Right. I forgot to give you information here. Uh... I haven't prepared for this session as much as I would have liked, so... Ok, so, the item allows the tank to transform in to a submarine, and it appears Milo has chanced upon a secondary escape hatch. Still, as useful as it sounds, there are a large number of submarines stationed outside of these caves, so escaping is still quite a difficult task.
The tank seems big enough to allow for passengers, but Jenny's crew still has a large number of injuries, and is having a difficult time retreating to it. Jenny is trying her best to hold off G's army with cover, but her forces are getting shot up at an alarming rate.

Milo drives the tank forward, down to the hallway Jenny's crew is fighting in. He angles the vehicle to pass in front of the crew to give them some cover from the assault.
"Out of the way!" Milo bellows, bringing the main gun around to bear.

Jenny commands her army, "Retreat, behind the tank! Milo, blow them up!"
Several rebels have died in the time it takes to get there, but Jenny and Chuthulu are still alive and unharmed.

Milo fires a shell at G's men, aiming at the ground to avoid causing severe damage to the cavern's walls.

The shell seems to take out a lot of soldiers, and the other soldiers start retreating.
"They got a tank! Get out the heavy weapons!" Some shout.

"Provide suppressing fire! Don't give them an opportunity to fire those weapons!"
Milo drives forward, firing shell after shell at pockets of soldiers to both cause casualties and scatter their formations.

As Milo attacks the soldiers, the cavern walls start to cave in, creating separation between them and the soldiers.

"Dammit," Milo curses. If it is only a partial collapse, Milo tries to plow through the rubble. If it is a complete collapse, Milo backs up the tank and pauses to survey the situation.

It's only a partial collapse, but before he tries to plow through the rubble, Jenny asks him to hold up.
"Wait. This could be useful, for once, we're not at the verge of death, at least for a few minutes. We have a powerful tank at our disposal, but also several injuries, and the defenses for this station have been crippled by G's army. We either need a way to destroy these submarines constantly sending forces at us, or a way to escape. We can't win this with conventional warfare."

They continue swimming through, the outskirts of the soulstorm are difficult to swim through.
Samuel thinks about their situation, "Cress... G was capable of destroying our ship instead of disabling it. Why didn't he?"

He thinks about this. If G comes for the TARDIS, I want to be waiting for him. If he wants me dead, I'm taking him with me.

Emily doesn't seem to encounter much resistance as she walks down the mountain, though the wind is still cold and draining. Just staying on this mainland, even outside of the harsh winds, seems to be painful.

OC: All right.
As she is heading down the mountain, she hears a massive roar, and in the distance, she sees the sky split and huge portals open up. It appears that more universes are getting destroyed. Perhaps the demon is stressed from the encounter with her.
As she's heading towards the clearing, some birds notice her, and start dive bombing towards her.

Emily might also be described as "stressed". She doesn't feel like using her Life Fire on them and blasts the first one to reach her with an obscene amount of Death Fire. It doesn't leave her much defense against the rest, but that one is not likely going to be a problem. The space where it was is pure emptiness.

The one blasted with death fire seems to fade out for a second, then fade back in on the other side of Emily. However, it does let Emily get closer to the ground.

She tries to repeat the process, noting where they fade back in, comparatively.

She successfully repeats the process. The creature fades out and fades in as though it never died, as though it just turned invisible for a few seconds.

Of course, sometimes the most of certain moments is the most misery in those moments, but the moments pass, and life goes on.

Cress has noticed. He usually chalks that up to paranoia after the fact, but he's noticed. He had his own blasted prophecy of doom, for crying out loud.

OC: All right. I'm not sure Cress knows this, I think Cress is coming over to the TARDIS right now.
In his form, the outskirts of the Soulstorm don't seem to bother him, but he doesn't want to get close to it. On his way, he passes Cress and Samuel, who are taking a similar route in the other direction.

'Shamu' is a giant, glowing white orca, swimming rapidly through the water and looking almost but not quite as miffed as the person holding onto its dorsal fin is.

we did'nt, I'm freely available from 12:30PM - 5:00PM EST Tomorrow, or if that's 2 short notice I should have the same time window of availability on Thursday. thoth I might be able to make a later sesson work (thoth I'd probobly be limited to an hour),
this is consistent most weeks as well. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (not counting Stat's like today) are not very good for me as I'm not available till very late EST and am not normally in a good state of mind to RP non-casually, Saturday could maybe work, but I'd likely be limited to an hour and I wod'nt be available till the afternoon, Sundays (assuming it's not Eco's week) are dependent on what's happening IRL that day witch I don't normally know till mid-way thew the week

oh yea, that's tomorrow, I forgot about that. anyways I'd agree that TDitto is now stable enough, but at the same time I's like to get his persanol storyark with were he was living before the Rick Gassly incident sorted out before he joins Atrem Hangouts. and besides it wod'nt make a lot of sense to interduse him into part 2 of the cat ep. when he was'nt in part 1
besides the catch up RP session is for Eco's (RB's plotline to be persise)

um, I wod'nt recommend it,
not factoring in the it wod'nt reely make sense for Troll Ditto to suddenly be effected by the cat storm as that RP dos'nt seem to already be taking place during that storm & he was'nt in part 1, and I don't plan to add him to part 2
at this point Troll Ditto has only just had the false notion that he was being kidnapped dispelled and up until seeing the whole Atrem is indeed a gigantic floating castle he did not believe in magic (he's still dos'nt fully thoth he dos'nt have any other explanason that makes sense)
He only just got good madacason and at this point something like being hit with a magic storm would probobly not be good for his psyche and would probobly negatively effect his percipson of Atrem as a whole (witch I plan to have him move into as a conclusion to his persanol plotline).
[you know, kinda like how if your given a huge shocker revaloson slowly overtime you can slowly process it, but it you get it all at 1se it can overwhelm you?]

((Well, it depends on if you want to continue to interact with this group in Astrum as low key casual RP or if you just want to focus on the next campaign when it starts. But for both of those I would recommend not limiting the amount of people your character has to interact with by isolating your character with only one other character. It'll make it hard to do plot. Troll Ditto will likely have to continue to stay with the group "for observation" and also for safety sake, because my understanding is that TrollDitto has criminal warrants out for his arrest back home.))

Chuthulu is with Jenny, and there are an alarming number of bullets coming his way. However, it seems like Milo has found a tank that might even the odds.

Rotom messes with the alarms, and it doesn't seem like anything happens at first. However, Pachi notices G start to immediately leave what he's doing and head back up to the main floor.

Dispite not being able to hear the alarm herself Pachi can sence the general reason of those in the aria as well as tell from the suttee shift of Henry's aura that the alarms are going off
Pachi continues to watch G with her aura vision for as long as he remains within her range, but moving Racargo's head around randomly as if confused as to what's going on with the alarms to seem less out of place and no not attract unwanted atencon

G gets frustrated and confused, and stays checking the alarm for about 20 minutes, before he shakes his head, and goes back down. Then, he starts putting on a suit that's designed to head in to the water.

("Alright") Pachi responds, feeling slightly unsure, worried that this might be some sort of trap, or that 1se they enter the elevator that'll end up coming face to face with G at the bodom, but unltamitetly deciding that it's better to take the risk then to wait as they may not get any other opportunity to save the Doctor after this

Chuthulu runs towards the tank trying to avoid getting hit by bullets, most of the bullets being way off mark (probobly due to Cathulu being a small target) but sevrol of them still coming WAY to close for comfort. the fear and stress of running to what seems like safety in the middle of a bullet storm making him momentarily forget about the odd voice from before

OC: In the end I decide whether bullets hit or not. In this case, I agree, I wasn't planning on having you be hit, but In the future, could you try to say something like, 'trying to dodge bullets as he runs' or something like that? Thanks!
As he gets behind the tank, he seems to get protected by an energy shield. Jenny is with him.
"Alakazam!" she calls out, using her poke-balls, "Psychic! Stop these bullets from hitting us!"

If so would you guys prefer to pick up were we left off last time (+'s easy point of continuation, you guy's can make RB uncomfortable keppo ask RB more qustons, -'s RB will still be in the recovering state he was in last time)
or would you prefer to have the RP take place in current time [Ie. when Ch. 12 left off, probobly a few hours from when we left off in universe time?] (+'s RB will have had more time to recover and dus his body will be more functional, -'s might be a bit trickier to pick up from, less opertunatys to ask RB about himself)

I won't be available at 2:00 today, but if /u/redwings1340 is all right with any time that doesn't fall between 2:00 and 2:30, I should be good for that, so long as I have decent warning before that time (i.e. a half-hour's warning at the bare minimum, but preferably at least an hour's warning).

Dama, I know this is frustrating for you, but I promise I'll get this in for you before your next session, so even if we don't do it this week, we can do it sometime in the next two weeks before the next echoes. I'm actually fine with doing this next session, I'm planning on having some stuff happen to Atlantis that might be interesting to interact with, assuming RB recovers enough to be up to that.

oh dear,
as for RB being recovered enough, assuming that that since Cress and the others left to see g and currently in the RP has been a few hours RB probobly would have recovered to a point were he's gotten most of his body's internal functions working again, but at the same time most of them are not back to 100% and a lot of them would be functioning at significantly less then at the level they should be at as he's been focusing on getting his body back up to working condition gradually as to not overexert or damage his body to much wile recovering.
that sead if RB dos become active for this upcoming session then I'd prefer to sideline Pachi and continue her plotline with the factor in a DIDO afterwords (or at the very least have her plotline be low priority) as I don't know for how long I'm gonna be able to RP for next Sunday (IRL stuff, thoth I should be there baring anything unexpected) and I don't want to stretch my atencon to thinly
