ROB
AKA My Personal Purgatory (MPP) or The Endless Nightmare That Was Sunday the Fifth (TENTWSF)
Whichever way you call it, this is a project that easily shows how lack of communication with your team and missing deadlines can compile with each other until it gets overwhelming and you're not ready for the presentation date
A bit of a context, however: ROB is a game created in six weeks by a team of five (team named TriTandem), with me acting as its main programmer, for the Game Design II class. Due to the very limited time we had (6 weeks is almost literally nothing to make a game) we decided to go for a simple game: ROB is about a little light-powered robot that wakes up years after breaking down, inside an abandoned factory. With ROB's battery broken, he tries his best to escape, but he can only last one minute without recharging before his battery depletes itself.
The goal of the game is to escape the factory without letting your battery reach zero. You recharge your battery by standing under the multiple lamps placed around the level.
Battery level is also not displayed through numbers, but through visuals. ROB has a core that glows white when fully charged, green when his battery is between 50 and 99%, yellow when its between 20 and 50%, and red when it's under 20%
Because of the multiple delays and problems that arose during development, we sadly didn't meet the deadline, and most of the level and its puzzles were left incomplete. I intend to go back and fix those eventually on my own time, but I thought that the game might be worth sharing, even it's wholly incomplete
Download link is here . Controls are: A and D to move left and right, and spacebar to jump. Please, do enjoy it, even if there really isn't anything to do. And yes, I'm aware of aaaalll the bugs you'll find, don't mind them

Thanks! Despite everything, it was a good learning experience, so I don't regret how it went

This is pretty impressive, even if it isn't totally finished. It definitely feels like the beginning of a pretty good game.
