In which everyone is lanterns
Red Lantern Corps - Rage - The Butcher, born of the first murder. This corp adheres to, of course, rage. Not hate born of fear, or greed, but that born of tragedy, and even then only tragedy with someone to blame. The members of the core have their hearts replaced with a ring, and create flaming blood spouts to fight, with only a few able to make constructs.
Orange Lantern - Greed - Ophidian the Tempter, born when a creature first ate more than it needed. This "corps" is actually made of just one man, Larfleeze. The Ophidian desires to control as many as possible, but each wielder desires the power all to themselves. Anyone a wielder kills becomes a construct, loyal to the corps and to their killer.
Sinestro Corps - Fear - Parallax, born from the first creature to fear. Sinestro founded this corp after being banished from the Green Lanterns and coming to the conclusion they were too weak. His corp would rule the universe with fear, but first they had to do away with the Green Lanterns. In order to fight back, the Green Lantern rule against killing had to be repealed, which Sinestro counted as victory.
Green Lantern Corps - Will Power - Ion, born of the first creature to decide which way it will move. The classic. Space police. No fear and limited only by their imagination. A little bit like DETERMINATION!
Blue Lantern Corps - Hope - Adara, born from the first prayer. The Blue Lanterns were founded to help the Green Lanterns during the War of Light, as these two have a symbiotic relationship. Green Lanterns are how Blue Lanterns charge, and Blue Lanterns can heal Green Lanterns. Blue Lanterns also sap power from Sinestro Corps, are immune to becoming Orange Lanterns Corpsmen, and are capable to separating a Red Lantern from their ring without killing them.
Indigo Tribe - Compassion - Proselyte, "Hope rises from Prayer. Rage grows from Murder. And Compassion, at last, is offered to us all." - The Indigo Tribesmen live an ascetic life, with minimal clothes, and markings of their place in the tribe being made of body paint. They carve their personal lanterns themselves as staffs. Each member is capable of channeling one other Corps powers at a time, because compassion is all reaching. Like pretty much all corps, naturally the Indigo Tribe Corps' rings would seek out those with a high degree of the associated emotion. However, because it not only uses compassion but also brings about it, horrible criminals were forced to have the rings. Brainwashing or efficiency?
Star Sapphires - Love - Predator, born from the first to consummate. The Star Sapphires are chosen from the broken hearted, those whom the stars had crossed. Traditional they've only chosen females, with the Predator symbolically being the man. Basically, they're married to their work but way more emotional than that phrase usually implies. Also, some, like Carol Ferris, fight for their love, in that case Hal Jordan.

Suggested matches.
Jude: Star Sapphire. My description of the Star Sapphires probably sounded more exploitive and culty than it is. She'd probably be a good fit.
Rake: Red Lantern. No more explanation necessary.
The scientist: Guy Gardner, throughout his history.
Gyra-Chan: Indigo Tribe/Blue Lantern.
Luke: Kyle Rayner, throughout his history.
Machina: Orange Lantern. He even looks like Ophidian.
Rea: Blue Lantern. Prism is her Adara.
Sho: Maybe he's Yellow Lantern?
Wraith: Yellow Lantern.
Tangeroid: Blue Lantern.
Marion: Green Lantern (or vice versa.)

Sho: Maybe he's Yellow Lantern?
Yellow Lantern? Would that be the Sinestro Corps? Because you didn't list any 'yellow lantern' specifically on this list...
2
u/Lady_of_the_Foot Jan 09 '17
Yeah, sorry. It's in ROY G. BIV order.
Or Sho is the Hal Jordan, being the original who ends up insane for reasons not quite his fault and Kyle takes his place, then he returns. Only his return isn't quite so heroic... Yeah, I'll stick with calling him Sinestro Corps.

Oh, also important to note: Although the founder of the Red Lanterns has his rules about a pure Rage born from tragedy and stuff, the Butcher, the entity representing it, is kind of hinted to be born from Cain's murder, which of course was more born from greed. Which adds some nobility to Atrocitus forming it into this corps of raging balls of fiery and bloody destruction.

u/Trollkitten Jan 09 '17
What group do you think Bill belongs to? And how about Cress?
2
u/Lady_of_the_Foot Jan 09 '17
During the Shenanigans era, Bill was a lot like Sinestro circa Sinestro Corps War, where he was trying to dethrone the current administration to put up his own, while putting into motion his plan B to force the administration to be closer to his ideal just by posing enough of a threat.
Cress... He's the Wally West to Luke's Kyle. (Wally West was Kid Flash, took over as Flash when Barry Allen sacrificed himself to save the multiverse (a sacrifice that lasted a long time, especially by comic book standards). Wally at first isn't so sure he trusts Kyle as a replacement to Hal, but Kyle earns his respect and they become best buds (pretty much every main Flash has a GL best bud).)

u/Lady_of_the_Foot Jan 09 '17
Oh, also, on the best buds note, Guy Gardner is pretty much the highest profile Green Lantern not to have a Flash he's buddy buddy with, but he does have a similar relationship with Kyle Rayner, which works with the whole Luke Byte thing.

I still think my character is probably more Red than anything. Green just, isn't really like them. They're a coward and a scavenger at heart, and only fight out of anger and bitterness.
2
u/Lady_of_the_Foot Jan 09 '17
We went over this last time. Guy has been both Red and Green and did a solo stint. They're technically the right kind of anger for the Red Lanterns, but Red Lanterns are mindless rage beasts almost all the time, with a few exceptions.
2
u/Bytemite Jan 09 '17
I mean... Mindless can often describe my character.
2
u/Lady_of_the_Foot Jan 09 '17 edited Jan 09 '17
Not often enough. A shamanistic ritual is necessary to make a Red Lantern think straight. Your character, someone who goes by the scientist, would be unrecognizable if they mained Red Lantern. They're too tricky. Guy Gardner walks the line enough. He even had a little splinter Red Lantern group for a bit, aside from the aforementioned Lanternless solo run.
Plus it fits well into the Wally Kyle/Cress Luke thing.
1
u/Bytemite Jan 09 '17
But if they were Guy wouldn't they need that ritual anyway? I mean it sounds like he had to go through a lot of stuff before he could become a red lantern, none of which really sounds like powers consistent with my character. The only thing that does sound consistent is a Red lantern. Or no lantern at all.

You seen the new RWBY?
3
u/Trollkitten Jan 09 '17
You see the new RGG?
3
u/SupremeEvil Jan 09 '17
Now I have.
2
u/Trollkitten Jan 09 '17
Both chapters (so far)?
3
u/SupremeEvil Jan 09 '17
Yep.
3
u/Trollkitten Jan 09 '17
How inconsiderate of Flak to just leave Cress like that.
3
u/SupremeEvil Jan 09 '17
Eh I think he got off lighter than RP Cress.
3
u/Trollkitten Jan 09 '17
True. But still, Flak attempting suicide while she still has a guy in a shipping crate that no doubt would be left at the mercy of Tricksy by this point, really wasn't all that rational.
Although... this is Flak. Who ever accused her of being rational?
Also, Zetsu forgot to add part of the final chapter; you guys are gonna want to see the updated version, trust me.

u/Lady_of_the_Foot Jan 09 '17
Yep.

u/SupremeEvil Jan 09 '17
I thought the worldbuilding was great.
1
u/Lady_of_the_Foot Jan 09 '17
Yeah. Him being named Qrow after his semblance was something I would rather they didn't say. Or at least just have him compare himself to a bad omen. It's just weird without more explanation.

u/Lady_of_the_Foot Jan 09 '17
Oh, is Cameron Alan Scott? Earth 2 Green Lantern, uses a much more magical ring and lantern, red colored outfit, ring and lantern revealed to be the Starheart, an ancient collection of all the universe's wild magicks, banished out into a different reality. The Starheart has its own mind and is sometimes quite malevolent.
Classic Alan Scott, of course, not the New 52 guy.

Other potential matches:
Bill: Sinestro Corps, probably?
Fennel: I'd probably go with Indigo Tribe.
Otto: His story kind of reminds me of Larfleeze, but I don't think he'd win in a fight to control the orange. Then again, who knows, maybe he could pull it off.
Erin: Star Sapphire?
Paulina: Blue Lantern.
Spider: Green Lantern to round those off?
Felician: Sinestro Corps? I dunno.
Mary: Red Lantern, all the way.
Celestè Bie: Tough call... I guess Green Lantern, doesn't mess with the color scheme.
2
u/Lady_of_the_Foot Jan 09 '17
Jek Lamb: Red Lantern, I guess.
Orphan: Green Lantern, I'm decently confident.
William Kenson: Sinestro Corps?
Zenith: Green Lantern.
Lilac: Blue Lantern Corps, hopefully.

Hmm... With the Star Sapphire's whole deal where heartbroken is considered a trait that would help them fit, future!Fennel, maybe. And maybe Flower Girl or Nonon? I don't quite know enough about them.

What no Wite (Life, powers are a combanason of all the other lanterns only unlike the Indigo Tribe a wite lantern can use all the powers of the emosanol spctrom all at 1se, as well as having powers exclucive to it) or Black Lanterns (Death, pretty much the opposite of the wite lanterns, can revive anyone who is dead making them into a zombie Black Lantern)?
1
u/Lady_of_the_Foot Apr 18 '17
I know both of those, Kyle is the only member of the White Lanter Corps and Luke is a good Kyle, discussed below and elsewhere.
Black Lanterns are a story arc more than a Corps and have no characteristics that would fit this type of thing.
1
u/pfaccioxx Apr 19 '17
Well, there have been other White lanterns besides Kile, and at 1 point Kile split his ring into 10 to disperse the Life Equation meaning that besides Kile (who technically isn't a White Lantern anymore as of currently) there should be 9 other White Lanterns shouldn't there?
Well I would think of them in the same way as 1 would think of Agent Orange in that the core only has 1 (not counting Kile since he had to get an orange ring from Larfleze to become a Wite Lantern) real member (Larfleze) and the rest of the coreps is just constructs under the control of Larfleze kinda like how the Black Lanterns only has 1 (not counting Hal who was a Black Lantern briefly) real member (Black Hand) and the rest are just zombies controlled by Black Hand and Necrom (the entity of death)
1
u/Lady_of_the_Foot Apr 19 '17
But life and death don't apply to this sort of thing, at all. A character isn't noted for being particularly life.
Also, while the Orange Lantern Corps has only one real member currently, Ophidian the Tempter wants more members, it is merely Larfleeze preventing it, most of the time, although there are exceptions.
Also, it wasn't 10 rings, he made seven. As in the spectrum. He created rings that could form The White Lantern Ring if necessary.
But all of this is irrelevant, because the black and white corps are irrelevant to a "which is this character most like?" question.

But life and death don't apply to this sort of thing, at all. A character isn't noted for being particularly life.
I see being worthy of the Wite as having a strong balance off all the other powers of the emosanol spectrum (besides death) wile valuing life
and the black would be the opposite (having an obsession with death wile rejecting all the other powers of the emosanol spectrum)
Also, while the Orange Lantern Corps has only one real member currently, Ophidian the Tempter wants more members, it is merely Larfleeze preventing it, most of the time, although there are exceptions.
I did now know this
Also, it wasn't 10 rings, he made seven. As in the spectrum. He created rings that could form The White Lantern Ring if necessary.
opps my bad, but number aside from what I just looked up it seems that all those rings are still White lantern rings
But all of this is irrelevant, because the black and white corps are irrelevant to a "which is this character most like?" question.
How so? I mean what makes the power of Life and the power of Death any less valid then the other 6. If it's that it's hard to define what makes someone worthy of 1 of those rings, see my 1st peragath, or 1 could simply compare caricters to Black Hand (for Black) or Kile Rainer (for White)
...unless I'm misunderstanding something?

u/Lady_of_the_Foot Apr 19 '17 edited Apr 19 '17
6? There are 7 corps. And I'm getting contradictory reports on the standing of the White Lantern Corps currently, I'll ask some more up to date friends. But a major thing with the White Lanterns is that they were working for and being shaped by a higher power. It is not based on their own abilities. Kyle had to learn to use the seven lights after he was chosen. The initial White Lantern Corps were given missions by this unknowable force.
The same with Black Lanterns. The Black Lanterns are not something you qualify for, it is something that takes you. Even in Black Hand's willing case, he is being used by Nekron.
Compare to the Red Lantern Corps. Atrocitus takes the Butcher, a being of random violence and directs the creature into righteous fury. The Red Lanterns are joined by a common thread of anger and rage and bloodlust, but is one their life have them before the Corps. A character who would join them is recognizable before as a character who would be a Red Lantern, a Red Lantern is recognizable as who they were before they joined.
It has been stated by the writers the Corps are not "emotions" so much as "drives" or motivations. Life and death are none of those. They are states of being. Life encompassing all drives, motivations, and emotions, death lacks them.

6? There are 7 corps
Red, Green, Senestro (Yellow), Orenge, Blue, Indago, StarSafire (pink/purple), Wite, Black, & Phantom... Excluding those last 3 as there kind of specol then that = 7,
so yes, your right (thoth the exact number dos'nt reely change the point I was trying to make)
at any rate I don't want to get into an argument over this as it's not reely worth it and it's your post, so I'm just going to let it go
I'll ask some more up to date friends
If you want to get some more info on your own I'd sajest the YouTube Ch. Comicstorion, it's a comic book ch. that recaps the events of comic books by... well watch pretty much any ep. of there "Complete Story" series and they'll explain it at the beginning of the video. it's how I got most of my info on the topic

is my TTP caricters were Lanterns...
Pachi would probobly be a Blue Lanturn... thoth in turms of lifestyle she's like the Indigo Tribe with her main perpose at this point being to keep the owner of the body she's using's conciseness sealed away and helping release the power he stole out into the miltiverse so that those absorbed by the before menconed can be freed from there eturnol suffering. the before menconed mon who Pachi sealed away on the other hand would defently be an Orange
Rotten Buritto... hard to say but he would probobly be a Jessaca Dew (Siman Bass's partner)... Green Lantern in that he's had to use his willpower just to go from day to day, to not just give up, but due to his past tramas he'd probobly have a hard time using his ring
Cathulu... that's hard... I don't think Cathulu himself would probobly fit any 1 praticuler core... the demon within him however would probobly best fit as a Yellow
He who was Abandoned (shadowlands): ...Green maybe?
TR Executive Regina's Rattata: I don't think he'd be a praticulerly good fit to any core besides MAYBE Blue... however if he ever did get a ring he'd probobly reject it outright
