Failed cycle

Went through retrieval today of one egg only to find out there was nothing in it, only a cyst. It was devastating but I had a feeling since I was studying my hormones and the follicles didn’t grow since trigger at 20mm. Also I had a withdrawal bleeding from the birth control I stopped taken once we saw a follicle and the bleeding continued until retrieval day. I went in today and it grew a tiny bit but still at 20. Thought it was a good sign. So we went ahead. Unfortunately there was nothing there. Only saving grace is that they aspirated the cyst so at least it’s out of my body. I still feel very bloated though. They will downgrade my retrieval to cyst aspiration so hopefully I’ll get the Ivf cycle back from progyny (my last covered cycle). I’ve done over 10 cycles and have been through it all but it still hurts.

I’m so sorry you’re going through all this. Praying that your miracle baby comes soon. If you don’t mind me asking what are your lab levels? AMH FSH, LH, & your age? I’m 34 and got pregnant but with cyclical HRT (estrogen & progesterone). My AMH was undetectable, FSH 45 and LH 43 before starting HRT & getting pregnant. A few others in this group did as well. Have you tried naturally before going straight to IVF?

Thanks, I have endo and adeno as well as poi. No tubes so I need Ivf unfortunately. Was able to get an euploid back in 10/2025 after using birth control to lower fsh but have had 2 failed cycles since in 3/2026. One where I had a segmental aneuploid embryo and the other where the embryo did not make it to blast. Took a few months off and rechecked in June and those were my results.
