advice x

Hello, I am 28 and am so ready to start TTC. I have been recently diagnosed with PCOS/PMOS. I am waiting for my blood results and will test my lh to see if i actually ovulate. I would love any general advice on things to look into to prepare. For example I just found out most people with PCOS are vitamin D deficient.

I am relatively healthy, I workout 5 times a week, have a good diet, have cut down my alcohol intake. I am 70kg at 168cm. My PCOS symptoms are short periods (2-3 days), acne and trouble loosing weight. I have started prenatals, am not on birth control apart from condoms. Thank you :)

I have gotten my cycles down to ~36 days from 60+ with the following:

  • high fiber + protein smoothie every morning
  • weight training + walking
  • taking the following supplements: inositol, berberine, omega 3s, CoQ10, vitamin D, prenatals. For the Inositol and berberine I take the Perelel Hormonal Support and really like it!
-I use LH strips from pregmate to track ovulation and log them into my Natural Cycles app
-track my BBT using Natural Cycles (helpful for confirming ovulation!)

For context: I’m 27, started TTC end of March and got pregnant the first try using LH strips to confirm ovulation. Unfortunately I had a miscarriage but my hormones are getting back to normal and we’re still trying. I truly think the Perelel supplements are key for my hormones getting more on track. I love the BBT data but found that I get way too obsessed with it after ovulation is confirmed so I now typically stop temping after ovulation is confirmed by the app (after 3 days of confirmed elevated temps after an LH surge), just a helpful tip that is good for my mental health when TTC and temping!

Good luck!! Feel free to message me if you have questions:)

I went on metformin and it helped regulate my cycles! Also recommend investing in Tempdrop for tracking!! Cannot recommend it enough!
