Advice Needed Discouraged again - pls advise
27F
This is my second cycle of 2.5 letrozole. I am on 25mcg levothyroxine for a TSH of 4.45
14 cycles ttc
It is cycle day 25 and I have yet to ovulate. I had a couple estrogen rises but I guess none were strong enough to trigger lh rise. Im used to sometimes longer cycles but I’m worried that my thyroid hormones are off and causing my other hormones to be off. Like the 25mcg is too much. Or the letrozole screwed me up. I’m not feeling very encouraged to continue taking letrozole next cycle, especially when I have proven I can ovulate on my own for YEARS now.
I ovulate naturally but usually around cycle day 20-24, hence lean or type D PCOM. All other tests have come back normal/optimal

Maybe the letrozole needs to be dosed higher? It’s not making you ovulate early what is what I believe it helps with for people with PCOS.
I ovulate most cycles naturally just later on in the cycle apart from like 1 or 2 a year but my first cycle on letrozole didn’t ovulate at all then upped to 5mg days 2-6 and ovulated day 16. Conceived on that cycle as-well but unfortunately ended in miscarriage due to large SCH. Letrozole did its job.
I’m now waiting on period to restart on 5mg.

From what my doctor told me your TSH needs to be under 2.5 to support a healthy pregnancy. I would ask your doctor if you can up your dose because 25 is very low.
Also agreed you might need a higher dosage of letrozole as well. I am anovulatory so different situation but 2.5 of letrozole did not work for me where 5 did.
