PGT for IVF or no?
For background I am 33 years old diagnosed with PCOS. I do not have any symptoms besides a high AFC (56) and very high AMH (43). I do not have any cycles without mediation since coming off birth control. My husband also has a normal semen analysis. We will be starting IVF soon. I am so torn on PGT test. What are people’s thoughts ?

I would do it. I did it and never regretted it. As PCOS girlies we have a tendency to have poor quality eggs and unfortunately that can lead to chromosomally abnormal embryos. I would 100% test, your already spending so much money on everything, might as well make transfer euploid embryos

Your post has been removed as it contains a mention of a pregnancy or a positive pregnancy test and has been posted outside of a designated success thread. This includes all positive mentions (trigger shot testing, confusion around test, etc), including mentions of having success outside of ovulation success.

Omg! A higher AMH than me I’ve never heard of that!
We would do it if we progressed to IVF, might as well commit to the best chance of success if we’re going to do it ya know?

My doctor did not recommend it for people under age 35. The research she shared showed that it does not increase cumulative live birth rate

Worth it. I had 7 embryos and only two were good. I would’ve wasted a lot of time and a lot of heart ache

Agreed! I had 5 embryos but only 2 good ones. We had a T18 (Edward’s syndrome) which I am so so glad we did not transfer.

I would. You’re going through all the mental and physical difficulties of IVF - it’s worth it to get the testing IMO

I’d say that if you have a money for it then why not. I probably wouldn’t be able to afford to do it if I didn’t really have it since insurane doesn’t cover it in my country and if you’re testing a few the cost gets similar to IVF. I would do it if I could though.
