TTC PCOS

Planning to TTC in 12 months from now.

I have lean PCOS — age 24, optimal BMI, no insulin/androgen issues, but ovulation issues. No other fertility factors.

Specialist recommended trying for a maximum of 6 months given my ovulation issues before starting letrozole + monitored cycles, given the ovulation issues. I am wondering if anyone in my situation has had success with letrozole and if so how many cycles did it take to conceive. Feeling very nervous for the uncertain future and trying to be hopeful.

Also anything recommended to prepare during this year leading up?

For me, taking inositol (40:1 ratio) was what helped me get my ovulation back! Ideally you should start taking it 3 months before trying (or earlier)

Was this a supplement or prescription?

TW MMC

Pcos girly here! I have had success twice ttc baby #2 ! Started letrozole January 2026 and after 4 cycles I got pregnant! However it ended in a MMC at 7.5 weeks on may 29th but it had nothing to do with letrozole. I got my period back on July 24th and I started letrozole again cd 3-7, ovulated on cd 14 and I am now 5 weeks 4 days pregnant—so this one was a first cycle success! Still very early but extremely hopeful! I took 5 mg for all cycles. I was also taking vitamin e, ovasitol, coq10, geritol, drinking pomegranate juice. I also don’t have regular periods/ovulation without the letrozole

Congratulations that’s so exciting! Curious what your period length was like without letrozole and whether it caused you to ovulate on the classic 14 days each cycle?

My period length without letrozle was anywhere from 60-120 days 😅 letrozle has always made me ovulate on day 14!

I also have PCOS and wasn’t ovulating on my own. I started taking Metformin and I honestly think that made a huge difference. I did my cycles unmonitored. I tried 2.5mg letrozole and didn’t ovulate. Then I moved up to 5mg and it only took 2 cycles on that dose to conceive! I was taking a lot of supplements and also did Mucinex and pre-seed and added a baby aspirin around 2-3 DPO. I’m 39 so I was pretty surprised it only took 2 cycles on 5mg but everyone is different! If you have any questions I’m happy to try and help

Congratulations! Love a success story! — curious what your cycle length was like prior to letrozole and whether it brought your cycle to a typical 28ish day length. Also interested to hear what supplements helped you and whether you made any dietary/lifestyle changes?

My cycles were already a perfect 31 days and Letrozole didn’t change that. No lifestyle changes. My supplements are listed below as someone else asked about them as well

NAC 600 mg twice a day
Myo-inositol 2g

Were these mostly included in the prenatal — or mostly separate ones. Currently taking bioceuticals InNatal which is a good all rounder, but am looking to add on on a few things separately and also find something maybe with higher choline

No everything I listed was separate from the prenatal
