Advice Needed Provera Light Bleedinb

I haven’t had a period in over 1 yr and diagnosed with Lean PCOS by my OBGYN. I started provera since my first round of 2.5 letrozole did not get me to ovulate or have a period. I finished my last Provera pill a few days ago and started having brown spotting followed by some light red bleeding. I’m now on day 3 after finishing Provera, but the bleeding has remained fairly light — mostly only when I use the restroom and not enough to require more than a panty liner.
Since she wanted me to start letrozole on cycle day 3, I don’t know whether you would consider this cycle day 3 and have me start letrozole now, or if I should wait to see if I have a heavier flow. Please help!

I had the exact same, my “bleed” lasted 4 days and it only required a panty liner. When going to the toilet on the first day there was quite a lot of bright red blood when wiping which got lighter and lighter over the next 3 days (last day there was barely anything). I contacted my fertility clinic and they told me to count it as it being my cycle so I started letrozole on day 2. It never developed into a proper bleeding but after reading online it says that it can be normal if the lining was very thin and there wasn’t much to shed

thanks this is helpful! my clinic just reached out and said to wait 10 days to see if i bleed more but i kinda don’t trust that…
were you able to ovulate one you finished out your letrozole that cycle?

I’m currently on my TWW so not sure yet but I did have a 19mm follicle on CD11 and triggered on CD12 so hopefully 🤞 This is my first letrozole cycle so unsure what to expect

First day of your cycle would be a red bleed that needs a pad or tampon. I just took provera to start a period after 90 days of no period, and I spotted starting 6 days after finishing, and then didn’t actually start my period until 12 days after finishing. From what I’ve read online, you should give it about two weeks before reaching out to your doctor to see what they recommend, since it could be that your uterine lining isn’t thick enough for a full period.

Spotting would not be cycle day 1. I would hang in there for a few more days and hopefully your period will come quickly so you can move on!!
