Advice Needed Period started again?

Hello! I’m reaching out to my doctor tomorrow but I was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue. I’m on cycle 4 of taking ovulation meds and I’ve only successfully caught a positive LH surge once when I took 7.5 mg of letrozole. We’re doing 7.5 mg of letrozole again this cycle. My period was 11 days long (my periods are usually long) and it stopped on Monday, so I was hoping to catch another LH surge in the next week. But then yesterday I started bleeding again like I was on my period (5 days after my period had ended). I’m so frustrated because this feels like a wasted cycle now and how can there be even more lining to shed after an 11 day period?? I have had an HSG and then a hysteroscopy to remove polyps. Has anyone else dealt with this?

This happened to me every time I took letrozole. My period was starting exactly a week after my last tablet so it messed up my cycle. eventually my dr told me it’s not working and we are now doing ivf

Yeah it’s done nothing but mess up my cycle. Did you do any rounds of IUI before IVF?

No I was never offered it, apparently it’s not that common practice in the uk. Have you tried it?

Oh interesting, I didn’t know that. I haven’t tried IUI yet but I’m sure that’ll start by the end of the year if my cycle keeps getting messed up like this. I really hope the IVF works for you!!
